So I spoke the the Master Mechanic at my Dealer and he knows I am putting on a tune. He said just make sure you take off the tune and you bring the car in. He said he does not trust the knew equipment and every time you bring it in they hook it up and it could be reading your ECU.

Does any one have any more details if this is the case. He was not trying to scare me but rather watching my back

I used to have a stage 2 tuned Audi. Every time I came in for service, I just tell my SA not to plug in OBD2 port. And I use blue tape to cover the port as well.

That is what I told him yesterday - just do not hook it up.

I will revisit this conversation - Thanks

Unfortunately, they need to plug in their scanner for almost everything they do. Reset the oil change reminder, read codes, etc. I think you can change the wiper refills without the computer, but that's about it!

These aren't mechanics any more, they are technicians. And the cars are complex computers with wheels.

One thing I noticed today.... the sound of a fiery Vivaldi violin concerto mixes superbly with the sound of the GT4 engine!

You know the GT4 is so raw and retro that if you don't order the PCM, it will only come with a CD changer (no ipod no nothing). Welcome back to 1999 for me

I turned in my paper work for PEC Atlanta delivery to my SA, and they looked at my 16 991 GTS to give me a trade value.

I kicked her to the curb, for acting like the track ***** that she is. I got on a plane and left her in Germany.

Just a "boring" hand wash & shine job...
Still need to get her aligned and tracked, now that she's broken in...
