Yes its number 1 in Australia. How cool is that.

I ordered the car and put down a deposit about a year ago. The wait was ok because the 987.2 and work kept me busy!

Dammit! Mine arrived last week so I could have been number 1! I have been on holidays so am only picking it up on Monday. I have the whole week off though so will make up for lost time. Where are you based?

Any photos of your car?

I have an order in with Porsche Centre Melbourne and my order locked today for October build and delivery December or January approx. Mine was the 10th order they took but I think they have been accepting orders since then "subject to availability".

My spec:
White with Platinum Wheels
Full Bucket Seats
Sport Chrono with Track Precision App
64 Litre tank
Anthracite Aluminium Dash Trim
Auto Dimming Mirrors
Bi-Xenon with PDL

The PCA Press GT4 (Sapphire Blue with Black Wheels) is there now and will be at the PCV 40th Anniversary function this Sunday.

Jim Richards got his White GT4 last week and is prepping it now in Shannons livery for Targa.

As someone who got his first taste of Motorsport as a three year old being taken to races in Auckland to see the local up and coming gun driver (he used to build his cars at a local servo) and then properly growing my love of Motorsport in the mid eighties watching him dominate in the JPS 635CSI it's actually a bit exciting that we'll be driving the same car.

And congrats to rodders, it's about time we got an Australian car

Spoke to Jim a few weeks ago at the Perth Targa West.
We did the same sprint that day. I got a somewhat better time in my 2010 Manual Cayman S, him in 2013 PDK Cayman S.

I have a question for all you Australian gents.
Are all you guys buying Porsche's, Ferrari's and Lambos Gazillionairs?
When a 911 Turbo cab costs a half million dollars, it seems like owning a Porsche or other high end sports car would be out of the question for most regular Australian folks.
Dare I ask the price of a lowly Honda Civic??
P.S. that Carmine Red GT4 looks amazing.

Hi Maverick 1.

Australia has a Luxury Car Tax that kicks in for cars over $61,884.00. For fuel-efficient "green" cars the LCT Threshold is $75,375.00. Under that figure cars are competitively priced. However over that figure we pay 33% LCT. There is also 10% GST and 5% import duty so the prices get scary very quickly.

If you think we are expensive, check out Singapore. It is crazy there. A VW Golf in Singapore costs as much as a Boxster S does here.

Is anyone interested in a Group Buy of Track Wheels for Australian owners of GT4? I am thinking of something like Rays TE37. Other suggestions welcome but we would need to agree on one specific wheel that can be obtained in the correct size and offset.
If there is interest from Australian owners I will start a separate thread.

I'll be interested in track wheels. I'm most likely going to look at 19's to run slicks however.

Sounds like you'll be getting yours the same time as me and Chris (cp993).

Hi Snowman
Thanks for responding. Lets see how many interested parties we have and go from there. I am putting out some feelers for suppliers that can deliver a suitable wheel now. Maybe something exciting will pop up.
It needs to be strong, light and reasonably priced so if it gets damaged it can be replaced without costing a bomb.

Looking to solve my wheel issue as well.
Trouble is all tyres for 19 or 20" wheels are going to be slower than the 18" super soft R spec I was running on the 987.2. Even Trofeo R or slicks will be slower.
