My PTS GT4 is line ID #1892. The PTS color is slate gray. The car was originally ordered by Chad McQueen, Steve McQueens son who decided not to take the car and I was given the opportunity to buy it. The only options are PTS and PCM. The color was inspired by Steve McQueen last ordered Porsche which was ordered in this color, https://www.mecum.com/lots/CA0815-21...turbo-carrera/. Right now it still has under 100 miles on it.
Here the original order sheet confirmation that was sent to Chad McQueen. I was told he decided not take it because he felt it would be too hard on his back.
111 Duke Street in Durham is the address of the Ingram Collection. Last time I was there, they had a GT4 in PTS Fashion Gray.

Yes, Bob Ingram helped Chad McQueen get the allocation. I'm not sure why he didn't specify at least the smoking package and extended fuel tank. It seemed the color was the single most important thing but then he decided not to take the car.
I am Pascal from France. I received my GT4 in July at the factory. The VIN is 190715. I haven't found it in the database, there are no VIN 190xxx. Is it specific ti US cars?

Thanks for this database though.
Database is for North American cars only as data is derived from North American dealership VIN lookup site.
Since the middle of Aug I have not seen a "NEW" VIN come through the system. So that is the short version of the story and those not interested in the process and why I put "NEW" in quotes can stop reading now.
The rest of you without a life can read the long version below.
What I am calling "NEW" at this point are VIN's that are sequentially higher than the highest VIN I have seen to date. The reason that distinction is important is because of the "skipped VIN" phenomenon where VIN's that are skipped appear in the database at some later date.
So on the higher number VIN's it appears production as stopped, at least for the last 3 weeks. However based on the past I can estimate that there are still about 67 GT4's that will show up and fill in some of those skipped numbers. As a matter of fact I know several cars by VIN# that still have not shown up. and are presently in that "skipped" state.
So as of right now I have seen 2,319 GT4's come across the PCNA database, but I am estimating that even if production has in fact ceased I will still and up adding another 67 to that total. Which brings us to a current production of very close to 2,386.
Of course this says nothing about the possibility of production firing up again and if it does all bets are off. If it doesn't then that # is probably pretty close to the final production #'s for GT4's in North America.
