Is this the first PTS GT4?

The blanks are still pretty fuzzy...
According to RSGT, the gt4 in question is 'Miami Blue' and not 'Riviera Blue'. As you can see, I am having a hard time telling the two apart.
But others seem to see the difference in these photos, so they have sharper eyes.
If true, that is very interesting information. How was it verified? I saw that car in person during my visit to Zuffenhausen on July 17th.
And I assumed it was 'Riviera Blue'. We have discussed this car before in the gt4 forum:
https://rennlist.com/forums/gt4/8822...t-pts-gt4.html
****
But if indeed both this gt4 and the Frankfurt show 991 cabrio are 'Miami Blue', it would make perfect sense!

This is the sample of 'Miami Blue' shown to me at The Quail Zentrum by Melissa Witek and Matthew Henry this past August.
****
It looked to me a much nicer & brighter color than I was first led to believe by the first samples photographs by others & posted at Rennlist.
And I remarked on Rennlist the positive impression the color had on me the day I took the photo and posted it on our forum!
****
Up to then, we had three other samples of 'Miami Blue':
Blue Flame's first photo of 'Miami Blue' sample from Porsche Exclusive Germany:
'Porsche Exclusive' photo from Melissa Witek:
And Loess paint which was formulated to represent 'Miami Blue':
None of the older color samples we were shown looked that similar to the bright 'Riviera Blue' on the 'wailing wall' of Zuffenhausen
or to the Frankfurt 991 cabrio showcar shown in the past few days at the IAA!
****
So here is my pet peeve & annoyance with PAG over this new color. I am sorry but in this light, this Frankfurt show 991 cabrio looks like
'Riviera Blue' to me:
And if indeed it turns out that both of these cars (the .2 991 cabrio at Frankfurt and the gt4 factory test vehicle) are indeed
'Miami Blue & not 'Riviera'', my question is 'Why?'
I am puzzled by the fact that 'Miami Blue' would look so similar to 'Riviera Blue' that I am having a hard time telling them apart.
Yes, side by side, 'Miami' might perhaps have a bit more green tint to it than 'Riviera'. But why go to the trouble of formulating a
new hue called 'Miami' when 'Riviera' is such a run-away best seller & Porsche's most popular PTS color! If you want to offer 'Riviera'
as a $3140 'Special Color' rather than as a $5500 PTS...then say so & do it. No need to re-invent the damn color wheel!

Eduardo

The .2 991 in Frankfurt is 100% sure Miami Blue.
I asked several people from Porsche.
Might upload a picture later...

Certainly these colours do look very different in natural light and under the show lights. The following pics show the Miami Blue Frankfurt car to be slightly more turquoise than the above video.

I have done a RAW photo of this with a Canon 7d and 24-105mm f4 L IS.
I can upload it later without any corrections.

I think Miami Blue looks amazing.....if I was a woman.
Far too feminine a color for my liking, baby blue...yuck. Would go really well with a pink Lambo.
But hey.....to each his own.
I like Voodoo blue much better.

I like it a lot as well, but issues with potential repairs are scaring me for PTS

That was well before this announcement though.

I liked voodoo until seeing it in person. Looked very different from most internet photos. I'm also not a fan of Miami blue. Riviera is far better. But for a true baby blue, one needs to go gulf blue, which would be stunning on a GT4. One RLer has a gulf blue 1GT3 with silver-painted wheels and it is a jaw-dropper.

Three Wheelin'
Miami is too Gay for me!! Those early samples appear differently.
My GTS is gonna be Maritime blue. Personally, Club Blau is the best, but Porsche won't do a PTS for us.😪

I don't think I'd pay $5,000 to look like an FJ.
I'd rather pay for something more exotic like Viper green.
A Viper Green GT4 would look killer.
