Poor guy. He looks absolutely devastated.

Video is gone now. Can't believe the victim put it up in the first place. I guess he decided post-facto to have the flatbed drop it off against the median wall on I-95 and figured the video was a bad idea.
Even though I joke about posting the video, I feel terrible for the guy. I buy Lockton every time because the $600 is forgotten as soon as I hit Purchase Now, but I'd never get over balling up a 110k car on my own dime, even though in reality it wouldn't matter to our situation; it would always feel bone-headed.

I watched the video but don't know the track. I can't figure if it was mechanical failure (tire blow out possibly), slippery liquids on the track, driver error, or just really bad luck.
Curious if anyone has any good insights.

Hard video to watch, for all the obvious reasons—and a crystal clear reminder of what all of us risk when we head out on track. Of course it's driver error first, but that facility looks like a car-muncher—or worse. I feel bad for the guy. Also glad he is okay.
Just been working on an article in which Porsche brass made the decision, after losing two drivers, that they would never again run on certain tracks with concrete walls in bad places. Also brings to mind something said after an event ran at COTA and someone had to replace the barrier system their car went into—their body shop said the barrier was cheap in comparison to the car repair that might have resulted from older barriers or concrete walls.
