They've either added a motor assy or they've pulled a shifty with claiming extra funds from your insurance company or its just a mistake typo.
I'm curious to what their answer would be.

Reply from shop:
I have attached two photos of the damaged part. There is an option of w/GT4 and w/out. The version for the GT4 does not have the motors, the other one does. I can assure you that it is not a mistake. Click the link below and look at the parts screen. Number 4 is the drive assy.

Here is the pic of mine:
You can see it clearly in the original picture (Post 1) of my car at the scene of the accident.
So it sounds like (and looks like from the exploded view) that the spoiler raiser assembly is installed on GT4 but no motor is installed to raise it.

When I questioned him today about it, he didn't reach into his well of maturity and admit his error in claiming it was a motor, instead getting a little riled up at my questioning it ("I assure you there was no mistake...").
At any rate, the official paperwork is right, and the official work that was done was necessary. So I'm happy.

Very good, glad it all worked out well for you. I must say that was a very quick turnaround with the repairs.

Well to be fair, all the paperwork calls it a drive assembly, which is how the Porsche exploded drawing identifies it. When I asked what that means, the service writer "freelanced" with his answer, confusing it with a regular 981, and used the term "motor."

Good to know that didn't just screw up nor were dishonest.
