Let us know how you make out with the DV claim. Based on my experience, it's always a challenge getting what is fair from an Insurance Carrier. It's to the point were I'll consider claiming an injury in scenarios like yours. Insurance companies tend to be very responsive when an injury is involved.
I don't know if it's universal, but Porsche dealers in my area won't make an offer on a car that is involved in an accident. So $6K is more than fair in compensating you for your loss, and the hassle you'll have when it comes time to sell.

Also looking forward to hearing results of DV claim.
Got rear ended today and trying to figure out what to do now with the car. Estimator will be looking at cost of damage later this week. Frame seems tweaked since quarter panels and hatch don't really line up anymore.

What is your guess as to how fast they were going when they hit you? Did your airbags deploy?

A few years ago I got hit in the rear while stopped at a red light. The light little Fiat slid on the wet road and was doing about 15-20 kph (maybe 10-12 mph) when it hit.
My Subaru Impreza was a write-off.
I hope it all works out for you.

I pushed back hard against using 17c at all, given the limited production nature of the GT4. They came back and said they had reclassified the car as an Exotic and were able to come up to $5485. I agreed to this figure.

OP here. My appraiser said 5991. Chubb used the 17c forumla and came up with a range of 3306 - 4250, giving an average of 3778. They then averaged that with my appraiser's figure for an initial offer of 4884.
