Hey guys...

Now that I have lived with GT4 for almost a year, I am going to post up some nuances and general annoying issues...I will start

1. Radio always turn on when car is fired up.
2. Would love to just turn off the PCM screen fully so it goes full black
3. AC/Air blows..always when car fires up up.
4. After I wash the rotors rust very quickly and when I drive to move the car all the rust on the rotors go all over the wheels, it's like I never cleaned the wheels.
5. Can anyone say I hate brake dust...I hate brake dust, everywhere brake dust...non PCCB car of course , now regretting not getting the PCCB just for that single reason.
6.Enter car from garage, turn on car, doors lock,wife goes around side to get in and I either (1) hit the lock button on the center dash twice to lock and again to unlock passenger door...or reach over and pull strap and push for her to open. ...


This should be enough to get going...

 

You could turn off the radio entirely during the trip by pressing the volume button for 2-3 seconds

 

Nothing annoys me on my GT4...it's a wonderful sports car, and I am thrilled to own it and drive it.

 

Radio can be turned off although may interfere with bt. I don't take calls driving this car so not sure about that.

You're probably just muting it. Hold down the off button until screen off to make it stay off next time you start the car.

 

I miss the spring that used to spring my seat forward in the Cayman R. Fully manual fore/aft is annoying.

Also miss the folding bucket. It was easier to put the harnesses behind the seat when the seat folded.

I leave the screen/radio completely off. I don't have nav and rarely listen to radio so it stays turned off. Most frequent reason to turn it on is for using phone/bluetooth.

Otherwise very happy with it. If they offered a "fun" color (like Miami Blue), or PTS would have made it perfect!

 

Dont get me wrong I love love love the car and the drive....just wondering what else can be fixed like your suggestions

Hold down the off button who knew...

 

If you turn the fan button down all the way, you turn off the hvac system (comes in handy for track days)

If radio is off, bluetooth is disabled.

4. No Folding Seats! Yes
5. No red center marker on leather wheel. More of an annoyance with Porsche than GT4 as this is the same across other GT models

No issue with brake dust when you have black wheels!

 

 

Isn't there a setting for that in the display? You can set how the doors lock and also how they unlock.

 

Ceramic brake pads. I used them before. Feel a bit different but no more dust.

 

Changing brake pads (have to remove caliper)
The low side skirts make it difficult to get on my lift. Need boards or pad spacers.
Need for aftermarket rear toe arms to adjust camber.

So glad to have 5 bolt wheels
