Default got a hitch and tire/toolbox trailer for my car...

got a hitch installed and bought a used southsport trailer on rennlist

after the bumper has been taken off this is how it looks. You can clearly see the vacuum lines for the PSE valves

this is the structural part of the bumper

the raw mount

I can reomve the black part and the licence plate folds down and you wont know there is a hitch

the southsport trailer behind the car after I arrived home

The black part? Are you referring to all of the dirt on the car?

Marc - congrats! Very cool and creative solution.

As for the "black parts" - good for you for driving and enjoying it!!

the black stuff is proof that I caught another spotless cleaned car and passed him/her

the dirt is there because I rather drive than clean. I know that so I have a full wrap. Usually once every 6 weeks or so I wash it. Currently planned before Thanksgiving

VERY cool! This is a dream come true to some degree for many. A bit invasive, but extremely handy.

I've got the same trailer and I tow it behind my 986 Boxster. I love it and having the tools and spare parts comes in really helpful. I just bought 2 new trailer tires for mine as part of the recent $100 off $400 eBay Discount Tire Direct when I bought some Nittos (needed a small boost to get above $400), the original tires from the trailer were from 2002 Going to change them before my next event at Sebring with PCA in November.

From the looks of it you seriously compromised the structural integrity of the aluminum bumper?

Back of mine gets a bit dirty too.

My 987 Spyder with trailer . The trailer is made by Aluma and trails great . My hitch is hidden behind the license plate which is on a custom flip up bracket draw bar is also alum and has the retaining pins in a pop out controlled by a key on the drawbar

Was wondering about this too. Also, while this may not matter to some, I believe removing or even obfuscating your rear bumper even when towing is illegal.

Don't crush a brutha's dream. (But you are probably right on both counts, not to mention the next owner would not be happy to find that hole unless they were also dreaming about the ability to tow with their GT4).
