Thank you! The first few weeks were very quiet. Could only hear crickets (as mooty would say).
Then a near miss by a guy who agreed to price, spoke to dealer, was going to send deposit and then changed his mind and found a local car and finally bothered to email me AFTER he took delivery of his car. I was a bit upset but got over it fast. He dragged his feet on wiring the deposit which was a red flag - but I always think the best of people, and he really disappointed me (and he had excuses: busy at work...)
Then a few offers with trades.
But two days ago (yep - only TWO) got an inquiry and I brought the car in same day for PPI which was finished yesterday afternoon. We agreed on price last night, and he wired funds today.
It was crazy going from a phone call on Tuesday evening at 8:30 pm eastern - to a completed sale on Thursday. I'm very happy with the sale, and the buyer is very excited.
I don't think he is a Rennlister but who knows - maybe he'll pop up in search of knowledge or online camaraderie.
In the mean time I had a couple more inquiries and have directed those folks to the Rennlist marketplace where I know some quality cars are for sale.
Very excited for replacement which I'll talk about at some point soon....

^ i never take deposits, i want the entire amount. i wont hold anything for anyone. who's money arrives first gets it. a deposit screws the seller up. b/c it forces you to take it off mkt.
also, i was a banker. if your buyer tells you they are busy at work, they are lying. you can wire money in 2 min with an email. i do that all day long. if they can't, they need a new bank. and i can recommend a bank to them ;-)
congrats on the sale
