Another GT4 Oil Report
Since others have kindly posted their oil results I have attached mine... And wish to ask a question.
Background: My GT4 was broken-in per Porsche's (US) guidance. At about 1,000 miles I had the dealer change the oil. Testing seemed needless given that oil was during break-in period. After completing the break-in I progressed to the track. So this sample is over ~3,100 miles (including 6 track days).
Everything seems to be largely in-line with everyone but with a slightly elevated lead content of 5 vs. expected ~1.
Since the last change I now have added another 1,000 miles (including 3 track days).
Given the slightly higher lead levels I am tempted to change the oil again to see if this is anomaly or a trend. Would appreciate any thoughts...

I haven't had the oil analyzed in my GT4 but the last test on my 987 showed 0 lead. This was after 22 track days on that oil. I had decided to run racing oil several years ago and have been running Motul 300V 5W40. I'm now running it in my GT4.

The Sunoco web site does not seem to be specific enough to tell...
Anyone frequent WGI's to know if their 100 would be leaded?

The only time I select anything that is not 93 unleaded would be at Watkins Glen where the lowest available was I believe 100. I thought it was unleaded, but this would be the only case where cannot completely certain. However, that was only a couple of times for a few gallons to get me through the last session. I'm sure the Watkins gas was unleaded.

Thanks for the comment. I am quite surprised that would have any contribution given the limited amount used but at ppm is very tiny. Will be interested to see the next report. VIR's pumps have 93 so my top ups between sessions should not have the same contribution as WGI.

I use the Chevron Fuel System Cleaner with Techron prior to (one tank of fuel prior) every oil change, and all my many UOA's show zero lead. Only time I've seen low ppm levels of lead are when playing with a couple tanks of high octane race gas.

Errsomeone, I'd also suggest you look into a different oil than Mobil 0W40. Your UOA shows the classic shear break down of the Mobil 0W40. See how your SUS 210 and cSt 100 viscositites are at rock botton for the range? You should start running Porsche A40 approved Mobil 5W50. A much better and robust additive package. Your oil will stay in spec longer, and your wear metals (iron, alum. and copper) will start to come down and stabilize.

Thanks for the note. I have run 5W50 in prior cars and have planned to swap to this in the Spring but given the colder months are coming soon I decided to stay with the 0W40. Since my GT4 is not a daily driver, the lower value seemed better as I have been told in the past about cold starts being the time where most wear is possible.
From your profile, I can't tell where you live, but you could always run 50:50 the Mobil 0W40 and 5W50 and then 100% the 5W50 for summer/track season. If you live in the artic, yes use 0W40. If you drive in the cold weather and keep the car in a garage, the 5W50 is just fine.
