What car would you add to GT4?

While I'd love a vintage Porsche or some (other) exotic, many are out of my range so I was thinking this:
But this is intriguing. I enjoyed the video.
I appreciate the practicality of a 4 door hatch that's fun to drive and have a pick-up for the grunt work.

I asked myself the same question and this was my answer: 997.2 TT PDK in PTS Meissen Blue (from the 356s back in the 1950s). Drove it for the first time today.

I didn't miss my Mk6 GTI at all after buying one. But I miss my Abarth after getting the GT4. Hard to beat on fun factor, and—among new cars—what I would go back to for a daily after the GT4 (short of a 911, anyway). Flawed for sure, but BIG fun. And old-car small and light.

I was thinking about the same thing...Love the GT3/4 combo, but I was thinking more winter/summer car or daily/fun combo...GT3/4 is more fun/fun.
Winter/Summer: I was considering a Macan GTS or a Land Rover Sport or something like that. I live in Oregon.
Daily/Fun: M2 or i3 for Daily?
I still have an 04 MINI S, but will get rid of that soon...my other half has a 2012 X3.

If you want to stick with porsche I think a 991.2 base pdk would be a great daily. If you are looking at other brands f80 M3, Golf R/GTI, wrangler unlimited, or Focus RS. I as well have an S2000 in addition to the GT4 and it's every bit as fun if not more on the daily commute.

If you want performance, versatility, winter AWD capabilities, styled design and top notch interior, then you must take a look at the Audi S4.
It's got all of the above - and more!
You can find it in a 6MT and run it bone stock - or you can add so many modifications, tune it and be able to hang with the GT3s on the track.
This is my family sedan.

Well, if it is a versatility question and you want a DD with space, pace and AWD, an AMG Wagon would be at the top of the list. While antithetical to the American obsession with SUVs, fast wagons are an unbelievable combination of utility and speed--and most "car guys" get it, even if they would never buy one themselves. To everyone else they are invisible, precisely what you want as a daily. I DD a MB wagon and think it is awesome. Can't wait to see the Porsche version next year.

No question, Air-cooled!!
All of the cars you mentioned are too similar to the GT4. Buy a really nice 993 c2 (or an S, if you are feeling spendy). Not as fast/powerful, but damn are they rewarding.

Shortly after my GT4, I bought a nicely specced 2011 E92 M3 with DCT and Competition Package It's an amazing all-rounder. The V8 makes me giggle every time. The GT4 is spectacular on track, and short trips involving mountain passes. The M3 does everything else, while bringing a smile to my face. I love its character.
I recently drove the base 991.2, and I was very impressed. The torque is intoxicating, the PDK is telepathic, the body control and steering is just perfect. However, I can't justify getting one:
The 991 is in a different league, but the used V8 M3 is a better value for me. I would love to have a 911 one day. But man, that V8...
On the other hand, I would give all my cars for a Singer 911

- The GT4 is way more raw, feels lighter, the 3 pedal action is more involving (man I love rev matching this engine)
- The M3 has incredibly usable rear seats and trunk space, and a glorious sounding V8. Did I mention how awesome the V8 sounds? Also, way cheaper. And a V8.

I use my GT4 for track and occasional cruising but with the Fabspeed GT450 kit and race exhaust it's a LEO magnet. My E92 M3 manual coupe with ESS 675HP supercharger kit and RPI exhaust is actually a great daily driver and I can occasionally take passengers when required.
Recently drove a 2015 GT3 that I was considering it but other than being fast I didn't find it very engaging. I understand why so many customers who have GT3 want GT4's. As a track car the GT3 is clearly a beast but it's hard to exploit it at daily speeds.

Decision made!
So, I just put a deposit down for an allocation for a manual GT3 if one comes out. I was told that I am first on the list.
We shall see....
Why 2 GT cars?
Well, why not! Two different colors and I already smile every time I see my GT4.
The value proposition is somewhat important to me when buying this type of car. While I assume for financial planning purposes that 10 years from now any car I buy will be worthless, I like to try to buy something that I think is a reasonable value. I'll never buy for myself another typical new car for this reason. When I was looking at used 911's, a 2 year old car with less than 10,000 miles could be had for around 70% of original MSRP. Buying a somewhat limited Porsche GT car seems like a not so crazy value decision.
