I Had a first oil change done recently and since then I have noticed a quiet but irritating ticking sound from engine mostly on overrun as the rpm drop below 2500. It occurs when the engine has warmed up and I don't hear it on start-up or while engine is warming up. I took the car to my local OPC and their senior tech agreed that there was an unusual noise from engine but wasn't sure if this is a characteristic of engine on GT4. They have opened a case with Porsche GB and I am waiting for an update. The car drives well and I have no warning lights. I am just wondering if any Gt4 owners have noticed anything similar with there cars.

Yes, this same exact issue happened to me also. Had a simple oil change and air filter change last Dec, and as soon as the car came out, I immediately noticed it. It wasn't there at first but as soon as the engine warmed up it was there. Only on overrun and only between 2500 to 1000 rpm. As soon as it is idle, it is completely gone. Weird that it happened exactly after the oil change as well. Please let me know if any updates were given to you or if you have resolved this issue.

Regarding the ticking noise in overrun / deceleration conditions:

I guess the ticking is absent if oil pressure is at least 2.0bar (29psi) and just audible if it falls below.
Maybe others can confirm / observe.
