Kumho Ecsta PS91 700 for a set....




way cheaper than anything else and likely a decent street tire or rain tire for track.
( i am running RE71R on 19" for the track)

the initial reviews (only 6) on Tire Rack seem good

Tirerack also did a comparo using those tires... seemed to do well, for trading off a lower price. Not sure I would dive into a set, though... higher rolling resistance and noise.

No matter, any increased pricing competition is good news for us, no matter what tire we like to run.

I had problems in past with Kumho- Tread seperation- Not a big fan-

I have used these on my 997.1 GT3 on road and also 2 track days where i got caught out and had too.....I came away a massive fan, there are superb on street and actually ok on track. I rated them better than my alternate set of roadies which were Michelin Pilot Super sports by a fair bit. The car Khumho used to develop the tire on was a 997 GT3RS

At $776 a set you can't go too far wrong trying them.

I would've if they would've been available last year at the time i bought my MPSSs. For in town tooling around they would've fine IMHO.

I wonder how long they last, if it is less than 15,000 miles then it would be better to just get the MPSS which has the 30k mile warranty, if I'm correct

Nope, on OEM. Get forged for track.
