I'd like to know as well. It's my preferred brand and have it on all the cars.

I also have Suntek 45% and 90% on front. Lighter tints are better IMHO, especially on my black car.

And update on my tint... I ended up doing 50% in the front to stay legal. 35% on the small windows and then 20% on the back window. Because the back window is so large it naturally will let more light in which evens out the 35%. Im happy with the results.

Funny I been mulling this over way too long ... I need to get this done
I have the same thoughts...
I was going to go with 3M Crystalline, but it seemed to be to be a bit of a gray/ brown hue to it ?
I then saw the Wincos and that seems maybe like a bluish tint ?
And finally the LLumar CTX with also has a blue hue to it
So I think I am going with LLumar CTX or the Wincos
I am doing 80 on the windshield
60 on the sides and 40 or 45 on the back hatch
I am color blind, so I don't know if I am seeing this right ??
The Wincos was the least expensive, but when your talking only a few hundred dollars between all of them them, its really not a factor ( the guy I am going to use is pretty expensive ) so it's going to be like 750 for the car minimum...
I am open to suggestions as I am pretty clueless about this subject ( never tinted a car before )
Regards
Ed

You are seeing it all correctly. I have had all on my cars at some point and all were good products - I actually think the Wincos was the very best at keeping heat out but any will be a winner as you are down to personal preference.

Ceramic on the windshield, 35% on the sides and 20% on the back glass.

Sorry, somehow missed this post.

It's a but tough to explain and I will see if I can get a photo of it to capture it. I am riding on application #2 (given their long dated warranty) and the same thing happened. Basically towards the bottom of the windows under bright sunlight you can see what essentially look like fire flames coming up.

At first I thought it might have been an install issue (e.g. using a heat gun excessively) and it bugged me for about 2 yrs. I got the shop to cover a new film under warranty, and they did it anew. Same thing occurred within a year. The car is 95% indoors (the 5 being when I drive it), so really perplexed with this phenomenon. As it was done over a period of time, different rolls of film and different installer, I am willing to single out it is not due to a defective run or an install issue. Weird, I know...

Thanks. Good to know as this is the product I am considering on my GT4.

So just how easy is it to remove window tint should you develop scratches or want to sell (not all people are keen on buying a tinted car).

One other items that folks (largely on the BMW boards) have reported is that the HO tint in some cases had negatively impacted keyless entry (as well as locking/unlocking the car from a distance). Seemed sporadic (vs across the board) and not anything that would impact the GT4 given entry and drive is not an option.

Thanks.

I did AirBlue on all the glass on my old Carrera S and have it on the winshield of our van but I don't like the rainbow effect it occasionally gives off with polarized sunglasses and in some lighting conditions. I was hoping HO would avoid that (based on input from some installers). Sounds like I'm back to the drawing board.

Generally yes, but I reckon a lot depends how long it's been there. I want to refresh the tint on my 993 but I have a feeling its been there from the original owner (i.e. 19 yrs). It may give me a battle and I am mostly worried about not f-ing up the rear window defroster...
