The market speaks

Great value, unique niche, the next Porsches with MT are tens of thousand$ more in price. Porsche took a chance on the GT4, won, but realized they priced it too cheap.

I had a 996 GT3 in yellow with PCCBs. I never fell in love with the color and worried about the brakes.

I've been pinged by a couple of people so far.

Thanks for asking about specs Moody

I sent my specs to Martin. I have met a few of the guys on the board, but don't know anyone well enough for a solid "vouch" yet. I'm trying to get wife buy-in since I made a silly deal when I bought the car that I wouldn't swap cars for 5 years. Long story short we both should have known better.

My main problem is that I'm not sure if I will go GT3, get a GT4 with LWB or just hunker down with something cheap. I'm thinking of joining a startup so cash influx will be less for a bit.

Anything under msrp for private sale is under priced in this current market.

Related question..I've gotten some response from RListers from other states. I've always done local deals with good results. Is there a good protocol for a remote transaction? I'm sure that there are threads in here on the topic, I just can't seem to find one. Thanks

Private seller used his dealership to handle all the paperwork. It was a small fee that the seller covered. Piece of mind buying and the process was so smooth. Dealership took care of all the paperwork and sent the title to the DMV to change it over to CA.

I've sold a couple of cars out of state. The buyer chose the dealership for a PPI. On the last one the dealer took care of everything. Painless for both of us. As has been said before buy the seller.

Ive sold cars out of state. Have the money wired and fex ex the title to the owner and wait for pick up, real simple. Years ago i sold a GT2 to a guy in St Louis he wired me the money but couldn't get a transporter to pick up the car for a month. So it just sat in my garage.

OP I strongly encourage you to consider out of state purchase. Happens often between RL members. I sold one of my cars on RL to a guy in Seattle. He had my local dealer in Boston do a PPI and then he flew out to see and drive it himself. Then had it picked up and trucked home. He got what he wanted at a fair price for both of us. Friends of mine have bought and sold cars on RL sight unseen but they've always had them inspected by someone. Good luck!

I went with my GT4 sight, unseen and don't regret it. Extremely low miles and his sales advisor reassured me that he takes his cars there all the time. Again, easy process.

OP should not be worried about purchasing a car from fellow RL'ers

I have the standard seats and inquired to my dealer about getting the buckets. Since it is a $47xx option I though maybe $10K tops. The price I was quoted is quite crazy which I think is a reflection that Porsche doesn't want to sell them outside of a build.

"Hi Steve,

You will not even consider the seats after you find out how proud Porsche is of their seats. They do not come assembled either, in fact it is 13 pieces and cost $16,682 each!"

OP, I have a car that matches your low option desire and does not have LWB but is not one of your colors - it is racing yellow.

Has 2800 or so miles, has had oil change done at dealer. Has been tracked 3 - 30 min sessions on all stock configuration.

I absolutely love the car it lives up to the hype and then some, but I'm doing an air cooled outlaw build and need to free up space.

Details available via PM.

There is a dealer in Concord that has one at $98k. Seems over priced with 6500 miles and low options. May be worth a look
