Yep, ARP makes some good stuff.

My Dealer who installed my FVD Headers and exhaust said that in 3 weeks to come back and he wants to make sure the bolts are still fastened correctly.

The reason - he installed a Fabspeed Header on a GT4 recently and the bolts became loose and he had to re-tighten

So - as a precautionary; he wants to inspect mine after 3 weeks

My race shop marked all the nuts & bolts on the suspension, so it's fast & easy to check.
I hate it when your nuts fall off. . .

Wow scary. Glad you found it before something fell off.

I wonder if they make manifold heads bolts that allow you to wire them ?

If they are not commercially available as a packaged set, you can make your own set with a little research and a trip to a fastener specialty store. Would be a pretty awkward place to get the wires installed, but I'm sure there have been more challenging locations on aircraft. As I mentioned in my earlier post though, there can be some installations where even if the bolt doesn't turn after initial torque, it may need re-torqueing, and if so you'll get to cut the wires and reinstall them afterwards. For locking, my preference would be to go for one of the fastener lock systems as opposed to safety wire if at all possible.

Reading these 2 replies back to back made me laugh loud in office. And it is open space.

I too had the LCA nut completely fall off. We are doing nuts and bolts every 5 trackdays.

Never would have thought the meatball flag could pertain to a P-car shedding parts. Will pay attention to this--thanks for heads-up.

Any chance changing bolts to some ARP studs/nuts? Probably will retain torque better and you wont damage the cylinder head because of cross-treading? Also, anyone knows if the OEM bolts should be discarded after X number of times being torqued/used?

Do you have a part number or source for the LCA nut? I haven't found it yet, and my last resort is to measure it and just order something from ARP.

I have been in contact with an ARP rep to look into it, but nothing firm yet. I doubt reusing the OEM bolts is a problem as long as they stay put, the torque spec is only 17 lb ft.
