Hey Steve! Hope all is well and you are putting some miles on the Spyder. Just had another one come through for the Sport Headers, very similar in colors/options to CAlexio's actually. Either way he referenced this thread as his reasoning of pursuing the upgrade, and as expected left extremely happy after experiencing it for the first time. Gotta love how much these headers improve the car haha. Wanted to thank you again for the kind words and starting the thread, let me know if there is anything else I can do for you

John, can you speak to the reliability of the HJS cats? I have considered your sport headers and would prefer to retain cats for road use, BUT, I have seen considerable chatter (albeit on the web) about the HJS cats failing even with moderate road use. Do you feel these fears are overblown? I am primarily talking about long-term reliability, as in greater than 5 years. While I recognize the application on the Spyder/GT4 platform is too new to draw any conclusions, presumably you have used these on other platforms.

Thank you.

In the last 1.5 years i've been selling more HJS cats than I can count. In that time I personally recall only two cat core failures. One was on a vehicle with several thousand track miles...The other was a very strange occurrence supposedly on street use only. Out the hundreds i've sold with that few many failures...yes I would tend to believe that the fears are overblown. I fully support HJS's quality, and know you'd be quite thrilled with the results on your car
