Sounds great. The one piece of the package I'm still unsure about is the Valvetronic vs the PSE from a sound perspective. I guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks.

everything has already been said about John and his excellent service attitude and knowledge.. i'll just add my crappy videos following headers and exhaust. I'm in europe right now but can't wait to get back to install the TP/plenum together with the protune from fabspeed to complete the fabspeed package.

Funny, I was in Tallinn 2 weeks ago... after 6 weeks of Euro Delivery.

Great little town, I had business with their startup incubator... be sure to check out Kumu for art, and the 3 Dragons place in the main square of old town for a bite to eat. Sesoon had great brunch, and check out the Telliskivi area, such as "F-Hoone".

Thanks for the write up to the OP. I am seriously considering doing some aftermarket mods to the Spyder but been hesitant because of the bucks and the effort involved. I am not mechanically inclined and it's my first Porsche so I am naturally a bit hesitant. That said good thing is Atlanta does not have a dearth of good Porsche motorsport shops. That said, I think I am leaning towards getting sports headers and leave the PSE exhaust alone. What headers I would get - that is a bit of a sticking point. Definitely IPD Plenum and GT3 throttle body and a tune are a must. Now if only I could decide the headers. I am leaning towards Cargraphic or Fabspeed. So these kinds of threads/posts are invaluable to me. Thanks once again for sharing the experience!

Can I offer a bit of personal completely biased advice? When you buy from fabspeed you're buying directly from the factory, with john Gaydos who can oversee or customize anything, quick shipping within US, and easy fixes if anything goes wrong. With cargraphics you are ordering through the also excellent john at BGB, but he's a reseller.. Which means he doesn't have direct control.. Check out the delays in the cargraphics header group buy they are experiencing. When I purchased from fabspeed, I refeived pics of mine being built and a fun little plaque with my name etched on them.. Those little details have made me a fabspeed customer for life. No bad choices, lucky to have both of these suppliers on forum.. But for my money, direct from factory takes it. Maybe though if you're a racer or high frequency track guy, having BGB's incredible expertise with heavier level engine mods is valuable there.

Excellent point. I will mull it over for sure. Honestly i was looking at the GT450 package with sport headers at first but then I kept doing more and more research and learned about Cargraphics and I like their design a slight bit better. But what you say also makes a lot of sense so i definitely appreciate the advice.

We do offer forums members a discount to help with your concern on the expenses, and allow me to take as much effort out of it as I can I just so happen to be mechanically inclined enough for the both us, and I would be quite happy to invest the time needed to ensure you make an educated decision on our products.

For your reference, in order to support this community we keep the GT3 throttle bodies on the shelf and will be the first to receive a stocking order for the 981 IPD Plenums (typically they are drop shipped from IPD regardless of where the order is placed). We also stock the COBB Accessports and we have an industry leading protuner in house that specializes in Porsche performance. However, Porsche is not his only specialty. He tunes every make/model vehicle we offer products for, and is often the first the break ground on new ECU tuning development. Just last week he developed a tune for the 675LT, and is currently working on tapping into the true potential of a beautiful red F488 we have at our facility. He flies on the weekends to Florida to tune track-prepped Porsches and some twin turbo 1500+whp Gallardos/R8s that will be featured in the next F&F movie. I was texting with him a few hours ago and he is tuning a twin turbo Supra tomorrow morning on his day off haha. Be assured you are working with the best when you get a Protune from us with your Accessport.

Alessandro I appreciate you taking the time to chime in regarding your experience with myself and Fabspeed as a whole. Also, your insight is spot on and is a crucial factor that is often overlooked and not considered in making a decision between vendors.

Digitalrurouni, this is something i'd like to expand on a bit to help you and the others viewing this thread make an educated decision to choose Fabspeed.

I'd like to start off by saying John over at BGB is great guy. He is very good at setting up cars for dedicated track use, tweaking Boxster/Cayman PDK transmissions, and building some savage engines. He is also a very active and supportive vendor on this forum, and I respect him very much for that. If I have a client of mine in his area that is in need of any of these things, I don't think twice about facilitating that contact. We have a good relationship, and on several occasions have worked together sharing experience and insight to provide solutions and improvements to the aftermarket development. Heck I just saw he made a cheeky remark somewhere about sending my Cayman R down for 3.8L build, and you know what if I find myself with the funds in a year or two...I might just take him up on that lol. I wish him the best and success with his business. Sure it is a bummer he already has an established relationship with Cargraphic, but that is a negligible fact in the grand scheme of things. Positive, mutually beneficial relationships like these are a CRUCIAL factor in accomplishing a quality vendor's goal to refine and improve the aftermarket's capability to unleash your vehicle's true potential and maximize your driving experience. This relationship is what I aim to have with every Porsche relevant shop and contact that I work with, and those I recommend share those same ideals.

Now let's take distributors out of the equation and take a minute to compare exhaust manufacturers. Power, sound, and quality have always been the three biggest factors in deciding between different brands of a product. I take pride in saying that we offer the widest variety of exhaust products for the most makes/models of Porsches and Exotic Cars in the world, and over the last 20+years we have specialized in ensuring all those exhaust products (along with intakes and tuning) meet and exceed this community's expectation of those three factors. Fabspeed was built from the ground up, starting from the garage of a true petrolhead like me and you that just wanted his car to sound better and go faster haha. I now sit at a desk in a beautiful 30,000+ sq.ft. facility, about 100ft from where I can walk back and shake the hands of our enthusiastic fabricators and R&D team that come to work every day to design and make the products we offer to maximize your driving experience. At some point, take some time to learn a little more about our facility and what we do in the thread below. There is a method to our madness, and have faith you will be receiving top notch power, sound, and quality from us! Please come out and visit us, and I would be happy to give you a personal tour of the facility, grab lunch, and talk cars

https://rennlist.com/forums/east-us-...rformance.html

Now here what really sets us apart, and why you should seriously consider purchasing a Fabspeed product over a different brand. Something most people overlook is that we have reached a day and age that with the technology at our disposal, exhaust manufacturers can put out products that are much closer in results of power, sound, and quality than ever before. This leads to a much stronger emphasis on exhaust manufacturers finding something else to add to the table in order to be successful. On top of dedicated customer service with very quick turnaround time, Fabspeed offers to you something that almost almost no other manufacturer does...Me!

Near every major exhaust manufacturer strictly works with through wholesale distributors, so you cannot purchase direct and likely don't see the manufacturer anywhere directly to offer insight. Fabspeed offers the best of both worlds. We have a team of wholesale specialists that work with shops and dealerships all over the world in promoting and supporting our business at a distributor level. However, we also have a team of Retail performance specialists like myself. We are cross-trained in all our products for all the makes/models we support, although I am the most knowledgable on Porsche and therefore work with you My job is to reach out to the Porsche community, and provide you all with the education and support that you deserve directly from the manufacturer of the performance products for your vehicle. By doing this I hope to earn your trust and respect, and foster a direct, quality relationship between yourself and Fabspeed. Even if we are working together on an order and you end up purchasing through a distributor or a shop, I work together with my wholesale team to make sure that goes smoothly for you. Us retail specialists also work off commission, so you better believe I am dedicated to putting a smile on your face and keeping it there every time you start your car haha.

There are many reasons to go with Fabspeed, and the fact that I am sitting here at 4 in the morning typing them out (on top of our already stellar customer reviews throughout the forum) should attest to that

On a personal note, I want it to be clear that this is more than a job for me. If you haven't already read my official introduction to the forum, please do so here. It is the passion and the community here that I value, and if I wasn't at Fabspeed I would still be on here posting about how I just beat the daylights out of my Cayman yesterday at NJMP and factory brakes and Super Sports need some help haha.

Either way, I appreciate all your support and business and hope to work with each of you in one way or another at some point

Speaking of, Kahane18 it was great meeting you at our track day yesterday! You have a beautiful car and it was great to see you putting it to good use. I look forward to taking it up a notch at your leisure in the off season like we spoke about, and hope to see you out there again next year!
