I was reviewing my data from my last track event today with my coach. I noticed I erroneously posted a much slower time for my PB at Buttonwillow config 13. Can you please update me to 1:54.3? Here is a screen shot of my data overlayed with my coach:

Surprised to not see MSR Houston since there are a lot of GT4's in the area.
Not a quick time by all means, but 1:45.57 CW.
Mods: BBS 19" CH-R wheels with RE-11's, everything else stock
I think it could be an easy 1:42-43 running RE-71's or Cup 2's. I went with the RE-11's because the tire wear is stupid good.
And yes, I blast music when I'm on track....

I love the RE-11, precursor to the RE-71... I run them on my 2010 Cayman S, and they are a great tire once they get some heat into them.

I was there a few weeks ago, stock car with oem pads and alignment, sway bars set to middle/middle... it was a PCA event and running CCW on slightly damp track... I was running 1:45-1:46 on RE-71, I hear the CW is faster than the CCW... but I've only run the track once, so I have little additional information.

On my old car I was about 3 seconds a lap quicker running 71's vs 11's. But I also got about 1/3 of the life haha. I have no doubt this car on 71's or Cup 2's can do 41's with a good driver

That 3 seconds is a big chunk on a sub-2 minute lap. There are lots of GT4s around Houston, I agree there should be more data... and yes, the lifespan of the RE-11 is quite impressive.

But you're right. I'm assuming the tires made the difference. There could have been a host of variables I wasn't seeing that let me run those quicker times on 71's.
btw, I don't consider myself a good driver. I consider myself above average. So based on that, I think 41's on 71s or cups is achievable for a good driver. But that's only my opinion.
Edit: I ran 1-2 seconds faster with 71's at TWS which is also a sub 2 minute track but different type of configuration.

2:28.7 on COTA
I was out on COTA with MVP this past weekend and got a new fast lap 2:28.70.
Everything is the same on my car as my prior post with a 2:31. I imagine this post will come back to life with track season coming back upon us.

I was at COTA four times last year and that Camaro was there every time. Funny.
