Zanzibar is very close to BMW's Sakhir Orange which has been offered on the M3/M4 during various points in time.

That color looks to orange what Amaranth is to red.

Now this is spectacular! Looks much better to me in direct sunlight than in the dealer from the photo comparison.

Sure does (but it's very difficult to photograph accurately)

It's considerably darker and dull when it's overcast though :

Nice at night mind :

It makes sense for a morbidly obese person who cannot fit in the LWBs, but needs the PCCBs to resist fade from the additional bodyweight.

I think it was an available color in the early 996
years. I really believe these PTS Porsches will
have good value in the years to come.
As I recall 'Zanzibar Red Metallic' was first offered
in MY2000 as a limited color on the gt3 & Turbo
only.

It then became a regular (optional) metallic color
on other Porsche models in 2001 & 2002. It was
pushed into a 'Special Color' option in 2003. It
was not particularly 'popular' in its day...but it
still retains a few daring followers to this day!
Thus it has been requested & approved as a
PTS option in both 997/987 & 991/981 era,
as you can see from photos already posted
on this thread.

Just a 'Metallic', not a 'Pearl-effect'.

If the owner of one of these PTS Spyders ever wants to sell, please pm me first! That car with my black GT4 wheels would look absolutely sinister!
