Without thinking....
...I bring my wife to our Porsche-Audi dealer and have her sit in a number of cars and sure enough she prefers the GT4 seating position and styling !? The car she sat in was a customer's car and she couldn't drive it - but with all I have read I assured her it would be a sensible daily driver and she could drive my car (991 Turbo S) or her Avant if she ever thought she wanted something a little more civil that day. I am feeling a bit guilty now in that it was me who effectively picked her car and with all the options available to her at that price point...perhaps GT4 wouldn't have been her first choice other that her 50 something track rat longingly wanting her to fall in love with this little car. Upside is she did get to pick the color Rhodium with silver wheels...and wasn't sure about the LWBs but I assured her - that would be the right choice
.
Simple question...guys who have had their car for some period of time - is it a sensible daily driver for a women (who likes cars granted)?..or will I be shopping for another car for her and her calling me a dupe...

If you get the LWBs and she likes dresses (or especially skirts), she'll need to be careful on egress, but otherwise I would expect a woman who likes cars to feel the same way as the guys who like cars in this respect. DD livability was a big concern for me especially since I couldn't test drive the car before ordering, so I just crossed my fingers on this when I ordered, but I've found that this car is surprisingly compliant on the road -- firm, but not harsh, and that's with LWBs in my case. I actually find them supremely comfortable, and my wife can take a nap in them on the highway. The stereo is reasonable (not notably great or notably horrible), and even the scraping isn't as bad I was expecting. Some driveways and other grade changes I thought I might have to take at an angle it turns out I can take straight on, and even angling usually isn't too much of an issue. The few times I have scraped, the damage has always been confined to the plastic and isn't bad at all. As for the LWBs, egress is reasonable for me once you get the hang of it: swing outside foot out, rest outside arm against sill, then shift your weight onto your arm on the way to shifting it onto your leg that will be standing on terra firma by that point.
My wife loves mine. I think she could easily DD it with sofa's. If she didn't love her Macan so much, she'd probably steal it more. So yes, if she loves cars and can rotate to other cars when the urge strikes, I think you're golden.
From the female perspective, if she is a "car chick" I'm fairly positive she'll love it.
The car is extremely comfortable and compliant driving it on the street. The shifting is positively the best manual I"ve ever driven and has such a cool feel that she'll have to love it! The sport mode with auto blip downshift makes it easier for someone who isn't 100% comfortable with a standard tranny (and I'm not implying she falls into this category but if she does she'll love it even more).
I used my C-R for errands, grocery shopping, long distance trips, and I've used our GT4 for all the same reasons and it rises to the occasion beautifully. I love that there is so much easy and accessible storage (when using boot and trunk). The car holds quite a lot. I've never had to use the shelf over the engine but could if needed.
I find the LWB (I've sat in other cars and will be ordering LWB in my GT4) very comfortable. Yes they make it a bit tricky getting in and out if wearing a skirt or dress - especially one that is more form fitting - but it's doable. And I don't usually wear form fitting skirts/dresses. The more she drives it the more she'll get used to getting in and out, and after a little time it'll just seem normal.
I haven't even mentioned how great it sounds on a cold start, or how great it sounds when you're driving it. The ride is more comfortable than expected. Hubby has a very bad back and he finds it quite comfortable (he is much more sensitive to ride than I am).
The only tricky part could be rearward visibility. We (edited>) adjusted the wing mounts make it flatter which significantly improved visibility through rear glass. You could also said install a rear view camera which might be advised depending on where she is driving and parking. She'll get used to judging the car with some practice but I find backing it up was a bit of a challenge and I generally avoid reversing if at all possible (in any car because it's less safe).
Congrats & let us know how it goes.

If that describes your wife - then you are all set - if not - you will need a back up - which is actually good news, as then you get to choose if you will drive the GT4 a few days a week!
More details on this please. Do you mean you literally have it flipped around, and if so did you flip it horizontally (backwards) or vertically (upside-down)?? And even putting aesthetics and handling concerns aside, I don't see how either one would help with visibility since the same amount of area is obstructed in the rear view no matter the orientation of the wing.
Thank you for catching my error. I apologize and will take more care in the future.
More indepth explanation please. AFAIK its a 2 position wing. Did the dealer have it adjusted in the "up", high angle position prior to delivery?
Thank you ALL for your comments which have been shared with my wife who now looks forward to the arrival of her new car EVEN more...in fact we agree this may be the first car we have ever BOTH looked forward to seeing so much.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
Hubby took it apart. Changed fastener settings on upright to make the wing as flat as possible. We also learned that the gasket cannot be reused. The dealer tried to fabricate a gasket but it was too thick and the upright didn't sit flush on the deck lid. New gaskets had to be ordered from Porsche.
