Default GT4 Bucket seats or NOT

Hey Guys, I am about to pull the plug on a GT4. One has the CF buckets and one without.
I had CF buckets in my Lambo LP570-4 Superleggera and hated them as they were back breakers. I am concerned having not tried the 2 way/18 way or the buckets which is the best way to go.
Any subjective info or advice would be welcome. I am buying long distance sight unseen so its a leap of faith for sure.

Jim

There has been a ton of discussion about the LWB vs 2/18 ways on the GT4 forum. Probably best to head over there and check out the threads.

I will do that. Sorry if its been beaten to death. I could not see a specific GT4 forum on any of the pull-downs, only Cayman, but I'm probably just not searching enough.

Thanks

Jim

Also check the 991 GT3 forum. Same seats. Lots of discussion.

Bottom line - it's a personal preference. For me, the bucket seats (both the GT2 style and the 918 style) are the most comfortable Porsche makes. 5-6 hour trips are no problem. Others can't stand them. Your best bet would be to try both if possible.

Of course, the bucket seats fit the character of the car best. And would likely do better with resale. So if you don't like them, you could find one without. Or trade with someone. The one deal I've heard of was a seat trade + $10k cash.

Either way, you can't go wrong. Should be a great car. I'll know myself in a few more weeks.

The GT4 forum is a sub-forum of the 987-981 Forum. Nobody knows why.

Get the LWBs and if you don't like them, purchase a set of the regular seats. The resale value of the LWB's is very good.
