Default Forgeline GA1R Wheels and Hoosier R7 tires

I got word today that my Forgeline wheels and Hoosier tires are on the way. Should arrive by next Tuesday and I'll post pics when they arrive and once I get them mounted. Since I have a black car with black wheels (see below) I decided to change up the color scheme a little with my track wheels. I went with the Forgeline GA1Rs in transparent red [19X9 and 265/35-19 (F) and 19X11 and 295/30-19 (R)].

Thanks to Brian at Competition Motorsports for all his help with this. His price was reasonable and he was super responsive with the many questions I sent him. I also wanted to thank ShakeNBake (and all the others on this Board) who helped figure out the maximum amount of rubber we could put under the fenders on the GT4.

Please update as soon as you get them as I am trying to decide which way to go. Would also love to see pics of the red wheels.

I thought with the 265/35/19 front, the better height match was 295/35/19 rear?

Here is a pic of a GT2RS that pushed me to purchase the red wheels. I'm sure some will like and others may not but it looked good to me. I'm super excited.

You are correct about the size but I decided to try the 295/30-19 even with the difference in size from the factory wheels just to see if they worked. My thinking was that since I typically drive without the nannies on if a smaller tire worked it would help a little with the gear ratios. If it doesn't work I'll buy another set of tires.

Interested in your thoughts when you get it on track with the hoosiers. Are you going back to COTA next weekend with EA? I was parked near you in the paddock last time out with my silver M3.

I love running with the Edge Addicts folks at COTA but I'm not currently signed up for the 2/7 event and I have some family and work commitments that may make it difficult to get out there by then.

With respect to COTA, my plan is to do Friday and Saturday with MVP at the end of February. If I can find the time I will probably go try the new wheels/tires out at Driveway Austin before the COTA event and I will report back when I do.

My last COTA event was super fun with the GT4. I was running -2F/-1.5R camber with slight toe in on the rear on Cup2 tires.

Nice, I'll be out at COTA with MVP in my GT4 as well. Im sure the red wheels on black will look amazing, look forward to seeing it.

Lets hope for better weather this year for MVP.. no iced roads would be nice!

Great color combination. Looking forward to seeing them mounted with the new rubber on your GT4.

The tires/wheels fit and there is no rubbing even with the fronts at full lock although I have to confess it's pretty close. We also chose to shave down the rear toe links a little to give a little added clearance in the rear as those were really the tightest fit. Probably have a couple mm currently between the rear toe link and the edge of the rear wheel. My alignment specs are listed below. I'm planning to go to COTA next weekend and will update with any issues that I identify.

Overall, the Forgeline wheels and Hoosier tires seem to be the best option out there for the GT4 and I'm thankful to Brian at Competition Motorsports for helping me with the wheel and tire purchase and to Joe at ATXAutosport for all of the hard work helping me get everything set up perfect!

Looks great. Are you doing Chin (tomorrow) or MVP (next weekend I think?)

ATX does great work, glad they got it all squared away for you. I'm trying to get Joe to bring Forgeline on as a vendor.

I'm doing MVP. Got some family commitments this weekend. Thought about trying to sneak out on Sunday for Chin but prob got to wait until next weekend.

Joe did a great job. Highly recommend his shop and the Forgelines are great.

Look forward to meeting you in person at one of these events. Love to hear your car with the headers and exhaust.
