Question Euro Delivery Locked

Looks like I've got an early summer euro delivery scheduled. I'm only going to have a few days with the car and my oldest son, but want to maximize our driving and sightseeing experience.

Any "must-dos" while we're there? Drive to the Nurburgring? Head to Prague for the day? I've never been to Germany so hope to enjoy the sights and sounds as much as possible.

I appreciate your insights--

When I was trying to plan out an ED last summer, I found these threads to be useful

Conversely I wanted to take my 80 y/o father with me for one last hurrah.. Didn't pan out.
GL!

If you like track driving, this might give some food for thought. Closed track days at Ring are better than Tourist days if you can manage it. Remember that dates are in Euro format (day before month):

Congratulations Doc,

You will have a blast, its an adventure for sure. I'd be happy to answer any detailed questions you might have - just send me a PM. For me in looking back, my hope-to-do-agains include;

* overlook the mountains from High Up on the Grosglochner pass
* drive the streets and visit the more villages in Austria
* breakfeast at the Aurel Lochner in Kufstein
* sleep in the Harburg Castle
* nighttime ghost tour in Prague
* beer and steak at the Pistenklause outside Nuerburg.
* go a little faster on the Autobahn
* go back for more humility on the Nurburgring Norsdschliefe

Enjoy!

Congrats! If you plan on doing the Ring or Spa, I would highly recommend these folks. We used them on my ED trip for my M3 last year and they were great.

If you are going near Hamburg and have some downtime - this is well worth a visit.

Congrats! ED is a blast!

If you go to Prague, try to get secure, underground parking. I stayed at the Hilton Prague Old Town, and they have a nice garage.

Leipzig - Fantastic city, hotel, Porsche factory, Delivery garage, and test track. Nothing but glowing remarks. In no way a compromise, A+++

Apparently Leipzig is full for euro delivery this summer.

What about Stuggart?

Stuttgart is also a very nice place with a fantastic Porsche Museum.
