Default Exhaust sound clips and reviews

I was just wondering as it seems everyone has been coming out with their gt4 exhausts if we can post up some sound clips of some different configurations and owners reviews as far as sound, performance, fit and finish. Also if the exhaust is compatible with console exhaust switch. I thought this thread could be useful for perspective exhaust/header buyers. As of right now am thinking going fabspeed myself. I would like to see some sound clips and reviews tho of some of the others.

Wouldn't it be best, in the interest of others with similar situations, that you would include/attach those that you found and then let others add?

Right now you appear to have made up your mind based on what you found. So why not share it with others so they can decide for themselves. Afterall you want it all in one thread.

Be a leader with your request; set an example for others to follow.

Best effort I have ever seen with this was a group of E90 M3 guys in Dallas. They had 6 cars with different exhausts and mid sections, all on the same video, same scenarios, angles, etc. It really let you compared apples to apples. Best bet is to get a group of guys together and make your own vid.

And if/when other post vids - if you mic the exhaust tip, a camry is going to sound like a beast....not really that useful.

How was the fit on the ipe? I heard the first couple fabspeed systems have had some fitment issues or something along those lines? So the ipe has a separate remote to control the valves so the button on console no longer works? Is this correct? Does the gmg have switchable valves as well? It would be nice to collect some good data here from the actual owners as opposed to the tuners. I have seen some very nice exhaust threads on other forums I have been members of in the past.

Most of these after market exhausts that have the remote control you do not need that option and the PSE button will function.

Do your home work on the IPE. It does sound good but quality has been a big issue and some have had their exhausts only to take them off a year or 2 years down the road because of issues.

The IPE fit OK, however I was the first GT4 globally to install it. They have now modified the placement of the valves for better clearance. You control the valves with original exhaust button in the car. I have since removed the system and noticed the quality issue everyone talks about.

I received the first fabspeed system with the valve issue. It was installed in reverse during manufacturing. I immediately removed it and its now being sent back for repair. Fitment and quality are top notch with this system and I look forward to installing it again.

I am still in the market for headers, although I have the IPE sport headers with 200cel cats which fit fine.

Here's the GMG exhaust, though they also have their headers installed, so the sound will be different than the exhaust by itself:

Questions I have are:

1) Does the exhaust have valves?

2) Are the valves compatible with the PSE button on the console?

You mean this one?

It's probably going to be too much for the street. While the manifolds were revised based on our input, this exhaust system was 100% our input and made by Cargraphic just for our race program, including the lightweight X-flow. We even went further and had a straight pipe system without the resonators that are shown. As you can see, the system is significantly lighter than stock and is what makes the phenomenal sound! They are making this system for the new GT4 Club Sport given the racing success we had running it. Every club or pro race car we build runs this and it's on over 10 professionally raced Caymans in North America right now.

Which is the no-staright pipe option which is recommended for the street?

Do you also have picture so can see the difference

You have two options really for Cargraphic exhaust that would be suitable on the street:

1.) Sport Rear Silencer Set

981 Stainless Steel Sport Rear Silencer Exhaust System

2.) Cup Muffler System

981 "Cup" Muffler System (RACE MANIFOLDS SOLD SEPARATELY)

The Sport Rear Silencer Set is the most popular street muffler system we sell whereas the Cup Mufflers are for race track guys who have a sound requirement of about 93db. While you could run Cup mufflers on the street and track, they're slightly louder than the Sport Rear Silencer system. If you were building a purpose built track car or race car, you would opt for the Cup mufflers because they make more power than the street intended Sport Rear Silencer system. I have included photos and links above.

Thanks.
