1,000 mile road trip over the weekend.

Left Orange County early Friday morning and drove up to Ojai then took Highway 33 all the way to Santa Maria. Topped off the trip with Highway 1 up the coast to Monterey. Great weather and minimal traffic on Friday so got to really stretch the car out. Took Highway 1 back home Sunday night. Cant say enough great things about this car! If you live in SoCal and have never been on Highway 33, I highly recommend it!

Yup! It happens a lot in the rain. It scared me at first when I didn't realize what was going on.

Dropped the 991.2 off at the dealership and picked my car back up. It was parked next to it's big brother.

Hit exactly 1,000 miles when I pulled back into my driveway. Time to start enjoying redline!

My friend and do it yourselfer SmokinGTS removed my passenger LWB seat and cut a oval hole through the carbon fiber to facilitate sub belt pass through for 6 pt belts. Took an hour from start to finish. No codes thrown. Took bottom cushion to upholstery shop to cut pass through like driver's seats. They've done 30 ; mostly gt3 LWB for Cantrell's.
All good. Harness bar install end of May planned.

Here are some pictures. Pilot holes were drilled for centering and driver's seat used to assess hole size.(driver's seat done at Lear factory)

GT4 dropped off for Tint, Paint correction, PPF, Cquartz, and some Vinyl work.- an expensive week

Just for the heck of it; on my CR Baby we put nice Stealth strip on an area to see how it would look. Prior to this we all said it would look horrible and even the installer agreed who has done full cars w/stealth. To our surprise, it looked darn good. Should of took pictures but left I-phone in other car. But, in the end- we want to show off the CR paint which all were looking at and enjoying. Even the receptionist came at to talk .

But some thing for some one to consider to preserve the beautiful paint. Certainly would be a Unicorn

I briefly considered stealth on CR - would be an incredibly unique look. Not sure, but this could be CR w/stealth....

What's the deal with the smoke / mist coming out of the nose in the rain? What's happening there?

Common for 991 gt3 and GT4. Relates to 3rd radiator and vent in front. Happens often after washing car as well. Seattle rains often as most know.

put on a custom windshield visor/decal. Satin black background with gloss black porsche lettering, all in all cost me about $15, i had a strip of satin vinyl laying around and the local sign shop charged me $15 for two sets of porsche decals. I lined up a piece of knifeless tape using templates for the corners of the windshield and ended the middle right above the photo eye. i love the look, understated and subtle. made a big difference inside. i plan on doing the winglets with the same theme. also added RSS 7mm spacers up front, no pics but again subtle but noticeable to me.
