Default GT4 with GTS tinted rear lights

Has anybody seen the GT4 with the tinted GTS rear lights?

Can't seem to find any pictures....

Thanks!

No, but just to make sure you're aware, there are 3 types of tail lamps for the 981: the standard red ones you see on the base and S, the ones with the clear center area on the GTS, and then the all-red but tinted ones on the GT4. Suncoast now lists the GT4 lamps in their 981 section for people who want to retrofit those, but I have yet to see anyone want to retrofit something else TO the GT4. I personally love the stock lamps since the base lamps would have been too bright on a car with so many dark accents at the rear and I was never a fan of the clear core of the GTS lamps.

Suncoast also sells light tinting films for the Cayman. I wonder if a light tint over the lights would look good.

The rear lights are not a fave of mine.

I'm going to swap my GT4 tail lights for the GTS ones. I always loved the GTS tails when my GT4 arrives. I saw a Spyder with them and they looked great. I have a pic of a Spyder with those tails and a pic of the GT4 with them but I'm currently at work.

The GTS taillights are on my retrofit wishlist if/when I get my GT4 allocation. Had a chance to see the GT4 and GTS taillights side-by-side at the LA Auto Show, and I prefer the tinted lights a bit better.

Interestingly enough, the GTS lights are an option on the Spyder, but not the GT4 for some reason.

Someone have comparison pics with various states of lighting. Tail Lights are actually one of the few lighting details on the GT4 that I like.

The running lights on the GT4 look like a stick-on part/after thought - they should be more like the GT3. Overall they went WAAAAAAAAY down market on the headlight cluster on the Cayman compared to the 991. They look like something off a subaru to me.

I believe the running lights, turn signals, and brake lights are the same across all three types of 981 taillights. It's when they're off that their differences show the most.

While we're on this topic, Suncoast carries North American and ROW taillights. I know that for some car models, ROW taillights have amber indicators and NA lights have red ones (Audi, BMW, etc). Are 981 indicators in the US amber? If so, then does anyone know what the difference is between the ROW and NA taillights are?

Rear turn signals are now red instead of amber.
ROW lights do not have the little rear red side light mandated by DOT (integrated into housing on US version). AFAIK an error is thrown when trying to install ROW rears.

It is worth spending money to get the tail lights looking good because that is what most people will see anyway

After I ordered my GT4 I knew I wanted GTS tails as I always liked more clear tail lights since the optional tails on the 997.2. I feel that it gives a more aggressive look. I had been searching for weeks for a pic of the GTS tails on the GT4 and only came up with this so far.

Excuse the ghetto photoshop, but I wish the GT4 had 991 style lights. At least it looks better in my head, I guess.

It's because I don't have the same computer that Porsche uses. Their computer is better than mine. That's why it doesn't look right.
