And just this very minute I'm starting to kick myself for opting out of the sport chrono option. Track precision app has all this data. Damn it. Anyone think there is a retrofit option for all features sans the dashboard clock?
What channel are you looking for? Brake pressure is there for aim
Get yourself an aim solo dl and connect with the CAN line (sounds like obd2 works now, but needs to be confirmed) and it will all be good. RS2 software is much more powerful than the app, and reliable.
If people are very happy with hlt, they will be happy with the app since they share the same problems and have similar function (except the Porsche app can't export video). However, it begs the question of why spend $1800 when $20 is just as good.

What does he say about the GT3? I definitely have brake pressure via obd2 on the 991GT3, which is the same ecu.
Tapping into can is no bid deal.
Cool, can you explain how? I had no worries about obd2 port manipulation but as soon as wiring gets involved I get nervous. The AIM stuff looks solid but the Windows only softwares a deal breaker. I can run CAN into the ASL gear though so that would be my path forward.

There are 2 ways to connect. One is under the driver foot well nearby the obd2 port. The other way is to connect straight out of the ecu in the back of the car. Check out the aim site for pics and instructions. If you really want to dive in to good data, you're gonna have to ditch the Mac and run good software like rs2. I credit my driving improvement to data and video analysis more than anything else. Hanging out with people faster than me helped too. Lol

Correct. 2 wires are the minimum, but tapping into switch power and a ground as well will make it so you don't have to ever worry about battery on the solo

Yeah, was just referring to the CAN connections. This is going to be my first mod...along with hardwired V1 and other "stealth" bits

Very good feedback thank you. McLaren has a data analysis tool that's got to be up to snuff. It's just a matter of data formatting issues to work out to allow the Mac option to work out. PC out of the question when you have an @apple.com address paying the bills.

you work for apple... so give up the intell... what is going to be in the next iphone 20...lol... maybe you can develop a track app that actually works on mac by using your apple knowledge...
What did you do in terms of getting the brake pressure. I have the brake pressure channel on my solo as a channel to watch and I don't get any signals there. Did you happen to use the 991 -911 ecu or 991-981 obd2 ecu on the aim?
obd2 ecu on aim. run rs2 program and look at the break press channel, if you have data there, then you just need to tell your overlay program (dashware for me) how to interpret it. Last part was the toughest to figure out.

Yeah... I got nothing... not logging that channel...oh well... maybe things will be different on the GT4
