I took mine off. None of my cars right now have it and me and wifey are perfectly fine. My gtr had it, and I don't remember it being something AMAZING I had to have.

I just wish we had ***** for temp and fan speed... the rocker switches are frustrating to use.

Updated my prior post just a little bit back in the thread with some new discoveries about the air volume setting and how it relates to fan speed in Auto mode. May be useful for people who have this option but find Auto not behaving quite as they'd like.

Took the auto wipers and dimming mirrors over climate control. The former is safety and the climate is comfort.

Only cosmetic option I may regret is light design.

Dimming mirrors are a must, and for me entirely functional. Wipers help as well, but I tried them at COTA and they didn't really behave like I needed them to. Rain-X at 120mph worked like a charm though. Not missing the Auto-temp.

Did you play with the slider on the side of the stalk? Apparently it controls the sensitivity thresholds. I haven't been in enough rain to see how well it works or what exactly the slider does, such as simply triggering the wipers with less rain on the windshield or controlling how fast they run for a given amount of rain, or both.
