Default Heigo half cage

Seems like a lot of people on here are asking about pics of a half cage.

Here is one option.

Looks like the pro of that cage is you don't have to cut carpet. The con is that the harness mount point is way too high. You want the should strap mounts to be at the level of the shoulder or a couple degrees below.

No problem with my shoulder heights so far.

But I agree that for some it may be too high.

Seems like another option was the Wiecher's bar that was posted on here. It was as low as the factory hard points for the CS. But it seems like it fizzled.

Let me rephrase then. The shoulder mount points are way to high for ME. lol

I have a long torso with my helmet almost touching roof (I'm 6'1)...wondering if that'll make it level for me.

That would explain your avatar pic.

I had one of these Heigo bars in my 987 before I stripped the car and installed a full cage. Heigo makes a nice product. It fit like a glove, all the pieces bolt together, and the carpet didn't need to be cut. The shock tower plastic trim needed to either be cut or removed on the 987. There are two choices for the location of a harness bar. One is as shown in the pics above. The other is further aft, between the shock towers. There are additional options including x-bracing.

The 981 version does not have the options that you are used to from your 987 version.

I worked with my dealer on my install. You may want to run a trap line in your area; dealers, shops, etc.

Then are the harnesses contacting the belt holes on the seat? Belt should pass freely without touching anything. It appears that for that bar to be at shoulder height, the belt would then contact the seat at the height the seat is set at there.

But you would know better if that is the case. It just looks like that to me in the picture.
