Deposit and Build Sheet last Friday (Oct. 30).
V200 today (Nov. 3) with LWBs.
Build is February with March 4 completion and March delivery.
MSRP.

steve0827's and my GT4 are apparently litter mates.

Deposit placed end of Feb.

Asked to be put on the list mid-Feb I believe (by phone), then made a personal visit shortly after that.

Build date was estimated at Sept/Oct but moved up because I didn't spec LWBS. Ended up being delivered Aug 3rd.

How are you guys able to place a deposit so recently and get an allocation? Were you on the list (without a deposit) beforehand? or are these dealer allocations? Im just confused.

No deposit originally.

My story:
Called SA in April to be put on list with deposit. He said your #8 and we need $2k. I said, "no prayer of getting one so no thanks." He called a week ago with the new allocation and I was "next in line" so I put $2k down as a deposit, built the car with LWBs, and now a Feb. build.

Now, I need to sell a 991S loaded out. I can't keep both.

A couple weeks ago my friend at the dealer called to tell me they had a GT4 that I could buy since the original buyer fell through and they did not have a waiting list. I had not even tried before that because I thought they were all taken. I went in two days later to buy it only to find out that someone had seen it on the internet and had called in and put a deposit down. Should have put a deposit down right when they told me they had one. Being new to the hard-to-get car game, I didn't...Ugh!

So, I put down a deposit and became first on the waiting list and got lucky since they got the next allocation two weeks later.

Works out better because the first one was not a spec I was not in love with and I have until March to sell a 1972 Triumph TR6 that is taking up my GT4 garage spot.

Put down $5,000 and spec'd configuration end of June. Was 10th on the list and didn't think I had much of a chance. Got the call from my SA last week that I got an allocation and went V200 with May build, Euro delivery. Funny, I also have to move a TR6 to make room -- but I mean move to another place, not sell. I bought it new in 1974 as my daily drive -- had it restored in 1984. Can't part with it. I hope I end up feeling the same about the GT4. I am so stoked!!

More luck to you guys! I guess I made the mistake of putting my name down at a low volume, albeit premier, dealership. They have been great but have little power to influence allocations. As a result, I have been next in line for more than 6 months now but no luck.

Since 1974, you have to keep it. Hard to part with my TR6, but running out of garage and ability to pay attention with a 69 Chevelle SS (625hp/675ftlb), an Audi RS5, VW Mk7 GTI (for the kids...) and now the GT4. Something had to go.

I'm in the same boat, but on the other side. I submitted my order demand at the beginning of March to one of the rare reputable SoCal dealers I could find, which placed me well down the waiting list. My Brand Ambassador is a true enthusiast, has been great and is one of the reasons why I chose that dealer. They've been able to get more allocations than I expected. I’m still crossing my fingers, but I think PCNA will need to do one more round of allocations for Q2 2016 for my number to come up.
