Looking at the Spyder promo booklet pgs 44 and 45 midnight blue wasn't an option in the U.S. Do you guys know if that was a Euro spec color only?

Paint to sample? I asked my dealer if I could do that when ordering. He said "NO" it was not available. Hmmmmmm?

It was open for the spyder for a very brief period in July of last year. Only 22 spyders were approved for PTS. Edit (in the US)

Thanks for that info. I might have gone with Dark Blue Metallic as I had and like that on my 2014 981 S, but then the Classic Interior would not have worked color wise.

Yeah, I wanted the classic interior as well but could not find a PTS color that it would go well with.

Milehigh981 I wonder what the hold up is. Maybe your particular exterior color? Whatever it is, I cannot help but think that this build is going to be special in some way. It may end up being the last 981 Boxster built. That could be very special.

But, I would bet you an "I told you so" that you'll be singing a different tune once you're driving your custom built Spyder around town. I know it sucks now but the pay off down the road is going to be pretty good IMHO.

Sucks, but as long as you are assured that Porsche is actually going to build your car, you'll forget about the wait once it arrives. Can't drive it in 25" of snow anyway

It's just frustrating. Not sure how it could have a scheduled complete date of 3/21 on 3/17...then be pushed back to 4/1. Just means they have not even started the build yet. Why? Who the hell knows because they don't give any information regarding the delay. My deposit in nonrefundable, so I'm not going anywhere.
True it is snowing in Denver but the earliest I'll see the car now is May.
