Screw in tire- patch, plug, or both?

If the screw is not near the sidewall and can be fixed, I fix it. As others have said, if I replace one, I'd need to replace them all because heat cycling comes into play and the tire won't be in service much longer anyway given the rate of tire consumption...

I agree. Owners will find out how sticky these tires are. Nails and screws are going to stick to the tires and then pierce through. I was immediately concerned about nails and screws when I picked up the car and dug my fingernails into the tires to determine how sticky and soft they were. They are also back ordered at Tire Rack for an undetermined amount of time. I suspect they are not going to be too easy to find.

I'm not an instructor. I'm at the track a lot, but drive during member days and drive open wheel cars. I don't do many DE days. We have an open wheel rotation at the track. I seldom drive street cars, tires, etc on the track. Thus, I have not had an issue with nails and screws. No question is too stupid.
