What will be interesting to see is how much of the competition car will fit onto the street car. Wheels, brakes, aero etc... Same thing we did with the 997 cup and 997 street.
my shop will definitely be experimenting with that

I'm sure much of it will. I'm curios to see what they do to fit 18" wheels on it. There is a lot of interference on the rear suspension. If it's anything like the 997RS, virtually everything will be easy to bolt on, just big $$$.

Yes being long in the tooth, it was similar to the 944 turbo cup which had a similar outcome, but not nearly the performance mods available as for the 997.

He cant be stopped right now. But if hes the hired gun for the debut its likely to ensure that theres a podium in the cars initial outing, not because hes going to be driving in a lower class for the season. Still, its a power move by Porsche and to me, signals that they want to own the class. Sweet.
I always found it interesting how guys move around.
Tandy goes from winning Le Mans and then Porsche loans him to the Oreca Nissan team at Nurburgring and he wins LMP2! So thats Porsche 1-2 overall, Porsche 1-2 in GTE Pro, and Tandy (Porsche driver) 1 in LMP2. What a home event!
Ryan Dalziel went to the Patron Ligier team instead of earning points in the Pirelli World Challenge...and he is the point leader in his 997 GT3R!
