I've always admired these cars from afar but I had never actually seen one up close until I went to the dealer. In my other post I mention that I had no intention of buying a car that day, but when I walked up to this thing and saw it in person I was stunned to the point I was speechless. To me it was that gorgeous, and the interior with matching stitching and yellow accents, plus the very, very cool carbon ceramic brakes.......I had to at least test drive it, so I did. Even then I wasn't actually planning to buy the car (I have a 2015 Z/28 Camaro which I need to sell so I wasn't going to buy anything until I sold that) but after I left the dealer I could not stop thinking about it. I got the number of the original owner and after talking to him, which made it clear this was not only a perfect car cosmetically but also mechanically because of how he had taken care of it, I started to get this overwhelming feeling that I might have to get it. I got the DME report, which showed zero over revs and then I decided screw it, I just HAD to have it, period. Bought the car, but had to keep it parked at the dealer for a couple of days before picking it up.......boom, while I was away from the car I had pretty severe buyers remorse.......what the hell was I doing, I hadn't even sold my other car yet, we could easily afford it but still it was just a lot of $ for a very selfish two seat car that is essentially a toy for me.......drove the hour to the dealer to pick it up, the entire time still with this feeling in my gut that I had made a mistake........then I pull up and I see the car and slowly but surely my buyers remorse starts to go away........I get the key, start it up and drive away and literally you can't peel the smile off my face! Non car people just don't understand and now that I've driven this particular Porsche (ha it still makes me giddy to say Porsche) I understand what that intangible term "special" means when it comes to this car. Put it this way, I walk out to my garage 6 times a day just to look at it.......I don't know what else to say......
Congrats! I definitely questioned the purchase of my GT4 at first but 24k miles and 4 years later I'm so glad I did it. Both the car and the community have made for an amazing ownership experience that's been priceless. Welcome!
However, both of those are listed as having LWB seats. From the pics you sent, yours look to be sofas (18 or 2 way). Can you confirm what seats you have? It would help in determining if this is on of the two known Gulf Orange cars or perhaps one of the remaining ~9 unknown PTS allocations.

I know of one Gulf Orange sold at Porsche Danbury to RL user rshaholtz that had 18 way seats. I remember it being a really maxed out build ~$127k MSPR or so... I believe he has since sold the car.
Joined the local Porsche club and connected with a member who has a beautiful 991.2 Carrera 4S with accents that I thought looked awesome. I became a copycat and had those accents put on. Slightly different striping on the hood and roof (mine has only 1 stripe, his has 2), but the same Porsche logo on the side. Wow, what a difference! Not everyones cup of tea, but for me this really completed the car......
