this car pushes, not much, but pushes. i dont see why anyone want to run 305. i almost want to run square on this car. 295 would be the widest i run in rear. front 255 minimum. i would love to run 275 front, but i can't fit it in.

some run 8.5" front, imo, that's too narrow. i would do 9 but prefer 9.5 if it's full track car. just rub the fender. eventually it will clear itself once the fender is grinded out by the rubber.

Something in the 44-46 range is probably going to be the sweet spot. With the additional camber, the wheel will tuck in perfectly.

For 19x10.5", which I still believe is an even more sensible answer for a dual purpose car, the ET44 will work perfectly.
listen to him. he knows what he is doing.
while oe rear is around et50-51. you really need et45-46 to fit. i dont understand why that's the car nor do i care why. i physically shoved wheels with tire on and i 45-46 is good 50-51 not so much.

10.5 is fine, but i rather just do 11 for the rear.
but this is minute difference as i think you wiold be running 295 as well.
but a 8.5 front is too narrow for 255 i think.

Nah, 8.5" is at the low end of the range for a 255, but it will work OK. I ran 255 Dunlops ZIIs on 8" fronts on my Cayman S and they were fine--maybe a little more squirm in hard transitions, but using a low profile tire with a stiff sidewall minimizes that. An 8.5" rim will support the sidewall well enough, though a 9-10" rim would be preferred, probably. You can't always get what's best to fit, though...thus compromises arise...
YMMV,

No, I'm afraid my horizons are shrinking in my old age. No more big track events for me anymore. You guys have fun, though! I'm not quite ready to retire to that big rocking chair on the porch yet, but I'm getting closer. My feeble little goal for this year is a regional and Zone 8 autocross class championship in the GT3, so I have to be in Camarillo that weekend for an SBR autox, since they cancelled the GER event at Minter Field in Shafter that I was going to run on 10/3.

As Bob Dylan said, "Look, you get older. Passion is a young man’s game, OK? Young people can be passionate. Older people gotta be more wise. I mean, you’re around awhile, you leave certain things to the young and you don’t try to act like you’re young. You could really hurt yourself."

Looks awesome, Martin. Do you have a pic from the side? Want to photoshop it on a red one . Funny coincidence, on my first day at USC, saw a red F355 with gold BBS, loved the combo.

Ok, got to google it now. Found one -

You picked a good number for your car Be nice to see it on the ground for a ground clearance check. What BBS wheels are these again and did you get a weight difference between OEM ? Its funny when you go to the BBS web configurator it says no rims available for the GT4. I was going to copy a pic of yours and email it to them.

To me it looks like the front wheel, supposedly a 19 x 9 ET50, sticks out quite a bit past the fender in that picture; at the bottom at least and seems close at the top.

Fronts are 19x9 ET50 and rears are 19x11 ET50 (I am using a 5mm spacer in the rear as there was only about 2-3mm of clearance). I did have the Tarett toe links in the front and back too.

Those gold E88 wheels look good on just about any car and any color. I'll have more pictures on Friday when I pick up the car.
