Default Painted key heads up.

I discovered that it's much cheaper to get the painted key option from Suncoast than directly from Porsche with your order.

I recall reading that when you order it from Porsche as part of your order, you get two painted keys, whereas the Suncoast price is just for one. Maybe someone can confirm. Suncoast still comes out less expensive (if you happen to care about having two painted keys), it's just not as crazy of a difference.

There are some people who really care about having the option on the original sticker. I am not one of those people.

Painted key does look nice. I have one now painted in rhodium silver. Unfortunately after one year of use, you can see wear and chipping on the paint. I will save the money for other options.

Also they wear quite quickly, but yes you get two from Porsche. Not worth the money.

Correct on two from Porsche and cheaper ones on eBay, though I don't believe the latter are exact paint matches if that matters to people. I'd get one except the GT4 doesn't have Entry & Drive, which means I expect it would get scratched up in no time with repeated insertions and removals in the key slot, to say nothing of my pocket. Plus I'm getting DBM, so scratches on that would show up even more readily on a painted fob.

The eBay keys feel like flimsy cheap knockoffs and the color won't match. Get the painted key for your Civic off eBay and for the Porsche from Suncoast.

I ordered a cheap carbon fiber one off ebay a few days ago to match my interior. Probably going to be cheap quality but for $30 I can't complain.

I also noticed that the embossed console lid option is cheaper from suncoast than factory optioned ($330)

Same thing with the black (GTS style) taillight option on the Spyder configurator - cheaper on Suncoast for a second set than to 'upgrade'

Afaik, everything is cheaper at Suncoast compared to getting it from Porsche if you can do the install yourself.

Nope. Leather steering column isn't even close, for example. $465 from Porsche vs $1000-$1200 from Suncoast.

Yep, I saw that too. I was kicking myself for not clicking that box. Glad I can add and cheaper helps. Actually a lot of items are quite a bit cheaper, Illuminated Carbon Fiber Door sills are $350 less.

I passed on the center console because it will be that much harder to clean, although I do like the crest since unlike the Porsche lettering, it's not upside-down for the passenger and it just looks more intricate. Not sure how it would wear though.

As for the illuminated sills, installation on those is apparently rather involved because if you don't order them from the factory, the car isn't pre-wired for them. At least according to what I've read

Still, nice to have options after the fact, especially if they're cheaper!
