From the guy debating a 997 RS vs 458 speciale... you seem to have become the guy to ask for info.

I own a 991.1 GT3 and have had the benefit of experiencing both on track (GT4 as passenger, and then chasing it in my GT3). The GT4 is an extremely capable car on the track. I was very impressed, and could easily see why people buy them.

I am not trying to start a flame war, or anything like that, but your original statement, does seem a bit naive or at worst, ignorant.
I am wondering, if you realize that you are comparing apples and oranges... ? These are very different cars, so comparing them is kinda pointless ?
If your point is that the RS is a more rare and expensive car, are you are by all means correct...
But to just make a blanket statement that the GT4 is not a special car is just ... Well, kinda dumb !!
I can't help but feel that you're suffering, from what I refer to as 911 snobbery
So, Chris Harris, and the other multitudes in the car world, including EVO magazine ( Car of the Year) are all wrong ?
Have you driven this car, or are you just making a judgement based on resale values ?
Chris's take if you haven't seen it ....
Kind regards
Ed
with such a "Not special car", maybe its best you don't run the risk of lowering yourself and slum around on this inferior GT4 board ?

Hi there. Yeah my inbox is full because my membership expired. Going to re-up it now and get the dbase updated. I have been slacking of late due to new job and crappy laptop they gave me.

Agree. Had I not read about it in a recent post, I wouldn’t have known it existed.

And yes in the early days this thread was always near the top as people were submitting their VIN's as their cars were delivered. Now we are into the second hand world and things move slower, not to mention I have been much scarcer here as well. I hope to get everything updated again this weekend. I have a lot of unread PM's to add.

There are still some potential cars that need to be added, but not many. I usually will find a car on my spreadsheet even if the owner can't find it on the google doc. But there are some surprises from time to time and PCNA sometimes is not good about updating their database (which is my source).

Gmaki, I am the second owner of ID #: 1652
Sapphire Blue Metallic with LWB and PCCB.
All of the options fit.
So does the build date and MSRP of $112,910
I purchased this car from a local Porsche dealer here in the SF Bay Area earlier this month.
Will PM you.
