Hey gmaki, I've been spending some time on your amazing spreadsheet.
I am RELIEVED that I ordered the correct, and ONLY, TRUE GT4 seats. I would be so disappointed to see a 1988 Nissan Sentra show up at the dealer with my name on it.
Whew!!!
(I have not read every page of this lengthy thread - but I think I've read most of it. I don't recall reference to your "fine print" on the Wisdom page. Quite funny!! Thanks )
Gmaki-
Amazing work on the database! Thanks!
Just got my VIN: 191737
Car is still in production. I have not decided where it will be delivered yet....Hawaii or CA.
Thanks!
Matt
And I wonder how many will end up here in the States. I think some one said about 1500. It just seems like there are so many GT4s but I have a feeling 75% of either GT4 Owners, or soon to be, are on this forum
I am currently projecting 1,750 for North America. Not sure what that means for the rest of the world though. Not to mention my own projection is only that, a projection.
As far as RL'ers I have 109 identified out of 1,329 or about 8%. But there are a lot of RL members who have not provided me with their VIN so I am going to say roughly 20%
Interestingly, for PTS cars the percentage of RL members is 50%
So here is an interesting observation. Right now I am up to VIN# 191700 in the database, and there are 1,347 cars currently entered.
Based on average production I am projecting 1,749 total cars to be produced for NA.
of course 700 is only 300 units away from 192xxx. So far for GT4 production that 4th digit has not rolled over. Could it be possible that 191999 is the limit for GT4 NA production?
If that were the case I estimate there would be another approx 275 cars produced since we don't get a 100 cars out of every hundred VIN numbers.
So that 1347 + 275 comes out to 1,622 cars in total, or just about the same number as I am projecting by ignoring VIN sequence (edit: after some corrections it is NOT about the same. but also not ridiculously far off).
Could something as stupid as VIN sequence dictate the cutoff?

Seems like a solid guesstimate to me. I am willing to bet they don't make any in 2017 and production ramps down/ends 3Q 2016.
I forgot to add my Racing Yellow GT4 to this. I got it in November 2015.
