Meeting Point #1 between 8:30AM and 10AM here:

Meeting Point #2 around 10:30AM here:

Then we'll head up to Harriman for a quick look of the road I finally found 2 weeks ago. Trust me, it's worth it.

Let's get a quick roll call of who can make it Sunday morning to see if it's worth it to meet.

Damn this car is low, only 100 miles and I already got my first windshield stone chip. Repairing it now but now I see why you guys get spell but that would have not saved the crack. Also scrapped the hell out of the lip already. Will need to offer a spare.

Route 106 going east to west is my go to early morning deserted driving road. It is fantastic.

+1, especially the stretch from Seven Lakes Drive to 17. It is only 5 miles long but it has a great road surface, elevation changes, varying radius turns and just amazing flow!

I never ventured to this side of Harriman in all these years and I'm kicking myself for it. I plan to practice on these roads a ton before heading down to tackle the Tennessee and North Carolina roads next year.

It's rare to find long stretches of roads like this in our area without having houses around you.

I think you actually have been on this route that sonorous is talking about. I believe it's the road from the parking lot where our second meeting point was down to 17.

It is quite short, but I have been known to drive it back and forth a few times between Rt. 17 and the Palisades Parkway.

The surface was pretty awful ~2 years ago before they repaved it. The road was closed for what seemed like an eternity forcing me to venture further north to roads like the Storm King Highway along the Hudson. Driving beside the cliff face with a nice throaty exhaust and the windows down is grin inducing. Not a bad 2nd prize.

There may not be houses along the road, but (in the Summer) there can be plenty of hikers etc. venturing into the park, even early in the morning. I find it is best to get there at dawn.

Yup, and I found the road north of that one that is even better I think. This is the one I unfortunately got you guys off-roading while trying to find.

Arden Valley Road.
