Default How much you willing to pay for GT4?

Hello all, I posted the same question on the GT3 forum, and got some critical comments as most will not pay more than MSRP for the GT4.

I got a seller who is gonna sell his gt4 without pccb for 130k. So about 30k more than msrp. Do you think the market demand is that high? Or he is charging way too much. How much tops will you pay if you have a chance to buy one?

Thanks

Some of those guys think they are above a GT4. I'll be paying a small premium over MSRP to buy a 918 owner's GT4 car that was speced with LWB seats. I think $30k is too much of a premium. You can probably buy one for $20k-$25k over MSRP from a few dealers.

I'll wait a year or so and maybe trade my 997.1 GT3 for a 2015 GT4

I would probably sell at 20-25k premium but not buy for more than MSRP.

I would kick myself if I sold but it is still just a car and I would be thrilled to get a Cayman S for 25k less than msrp.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with this. Reviews are pretty amazing so maybe I'd be annoyed if I sold but, 20-25k is still real money. It's going to be tempting if the market is there as mine sits during the winter but this might be a keeper.

Is this a US seller for a US car? I see you're from Taiwan and thought GT4s start at like $150k USD there due to luxury taxes.

MSRP was all I was and willing to pay, but that's mostly because I felt the GT4 had a MSRP lower than I expected. I was honestly expecting it to be in the mid-90s due to the 3.8 and trying to fit it on the hierarchy because there's really no real way to market the base 911 as a faster car but you can still do so with a C2S. If it was priced around there I probably wouldn't have bought it as it'd break 105k with my options. For those marking it up by 5-10k, I feel that it actually makes it priced in line with my initial expectations, so I'm not too surprised by it, but at 30k making it hit GT3 starting prices, hell no.

I agree too, but it is a U.S. car as I'm in the us for now. Thanks for the feed backs.

MSRP for me. $97,440.00. Paying a premium over MSRP for a car is crazy. It is sad to see the greed! Porsche dealers have some of the biggest profits per car compared to other brands with out premium mark ups. Let those dealers sit with those cars on the their floor plans until they need to sell them at MSRP.

True, but Porsche is selling 1/10th the volume other luxury brands are, and you as a buyer benefit from that in resale value.

Bob- realistically right now I think the number is $15k to $20k over... Once cars are on the ground and the public starts seeing them in the flesh, we will have a better idea of how crazy demand is going to be moving forward.
