Default How much you willing to pay for GT4?

Hello all, I posted the same question on the GT3 forum, and got some critical comments as most will not pay more than MSRP for the GT4.

I got a seller who is gonna sell his gt4 without pccb for 130k. So about 30k more than msrp. Do you think the market demand is that high? Or he is charging way too much. How much tops will you pay if you have a chance to buy one?

Thanks

FWIW: The answer will depend on the country. (Noticed that you were in Taiwan instead of the US)

I have been saying for a while now that I believe the free market will support $20k over... but the cars are about to start showing up, and if the general population starts seeing them on the road, it could drive demand up even more.

Circle is well known for their mark-ups as is their counterparts at crevier BMW.

I am paying MSRP. As a die hard free market proponent, I understand why dealers charge over MSRP...they're in business to make a profit... but I loathe the practice. I think they're focusing on short term gains at the expense of long term relationships.

I'm still convinced a hand full of GT4's will be sold off by the 918 Spyder owners for a quick profit.

IMHO the only current day Porsches worth more than MSRP are the truly limited edition cars (Carrera GT, 918,etc.) The GT4 will be a production car (even though it is said to be "limited"). Porsche will eventually make as many GT4's as they can sell. Again just my .02.

No idea what the market is in Taiwan, but in the States that would be laughable.

Except that there are reports of dealers doing just that here in the U.S.

It might not be worth it to you and I, but it only takes one buyer willing to pay that kind of silly markup

I didn't say it isn't happening; there are fools and money parted every day. I said it's laughable to be the guy paying that kinda premium. $130k for a GT4? That's retarded.
