GT Silver
This color doesn't get a lot of love and since I picked it I am wondering if it will be a little bit boring. I'm having second thoughts and wonder if this car needs a bright color carmine red or sapphire blue. I haven't found any high quality pics of this color and the few pics all have black wheels- Black wheels is a little too boy racer for me.
I found a video review with a silver car but I can't tell if this is Rhodium or GT Silver.

Ok I just realized that was a stupid question as he says its Rhodium silver in the beginning.. LoL.. I had the volume muted at the start of the video. bummer. so does anyone have any high quality pics of GT Silver?

IMO GT Silver is awesome. You say black wheels are boy racer, I say all these crazy colors people are getting is boy racer and fast and the furious. I know I am a minority in here but I think the GT Silver with the black wheels will be the classiest and best looking GT4 around. Birch green, lava orange, purple, bright blue are all the colors that folks are covering there Honda's in vinyl in. Sorry just my opinion, I'm old.

I agree that GT Silver looks amazing on 911's. However on the GT4 I am not so sure the silver works. With all the black contrasting bits on the GT4 like the black around the headlights the silver doesn't seem to fit or be as exciting as the Carmine Red. Maybe I just need to see more pics.

I specd mine in GT Silver w/ black wheels! Yellow stitched interior with all of the carbon fiber bits. Steel brakes but I'm having them painted yellow once it arrives. No regrets from me! I can't wait

How about this? You guys think this is GT Silver? I keep finding nice pics of silver GT4's but they always turn out to be rhodium silver. To me rhodium silver looks better in photos. In real life it looked nice but I could see myself boring of the color too easily which is why I went with GT Silver as it's a richer color and not as common as Rhodium silver.

Like you, I'm not a fan of black wheels (especially if they don't have a polished lip) but looks are subjective.
Good luck.

I think GT Silver with a yellow or red interior would look great (depending on PCCBs or not). Although I am partial to Carmine Red if one is going with one of the more expensive options.
I also agree with goin2drt, people have no problem picking crazy colors for their cars (Ultraviolet, Lava Orange, Mexico Blue, Racing Yellow, etc), so calling black wheels boy racer-ish maybe a little off. The Regera, V12 Vantage S, P1 GTR, M4, AMG, GT350, Z06, 458 Italia, Aventador all have options for black wheels.
In fact, the P1 GTR, Regra, Aventador, and V12 Vantage S are showcased with black wheels on their website front pages. If it's good enough for McLaren, Koenigsegg, Lamborgini, and Aston Martin and their respective design teams, I think it's fine for the GT4 as well which is a track car itself.
Btw, I went with Sapphire Blue and Black wheels. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but I am not a firm believer of the classics (silver wheels in this case) all the time. I think GT Silver with black wheels will look amazing...even better than SB with black wheels. Although a polished lip would be nice to delineate rubber and wheel.

I love GT Silver as well, and after trying to hunt down the right 997.2 GT3 in that color for the past two years I'm hoping my GT4 order demand converts to an allocation. I wish they offered the wheels in gloss black like on the GT3 because I'm not a big fan of matte black, so I opted for the platinum ones. I think red interior stitching could punch up an otherwise tame appearance and match the steel brakes if you go that route, but the Motor Trend photos of the interior with LWBs, carbon trim, and platinum grey stitching just looks awesome to me. I originally thought the wing supports in silver would look best with a GT Silver exterior, but now I'm likely to change it to black. White is always a great option, but the only other color that would be my choice is Mexico/Riviera Blue on PTS.

!
Yes, that first pic is the one that sold me on SB and black wheels! The red brakes and rotors stick out even more on black wheels (compared to silver wheels). Although I think the GT3 has glossy black wheels vs the matte ones on the GT4. Still, it should create a similar effect.

I was between GT Silver and White when I ordered my car. I chose white but because GT Silver was my other choice I spent a lot of time looking into it, including going to several dealers until I found a GT silver car. There is no problem finding plenty of Rhodium Silver cars of course.
In the end what it came down to for me is how often, and HOW I am going to use the car. I am not going to drive it much on the street, other than weekend drives and a few track days a year.
If I was going to use it as a daily driver or even 50% daily driver and nights out to dinner and such, I would have picked GT Silver.
I think the white looks more aggressive, and Silver looks more classy. So it just depends on what you want.
Also, Rhodium and GT are too close to tell apart in Photos. Not that they look the same just that the margin of error in a picture and your display device is far greater than the difference in the two colors. Unless you can get a photo of two cars side by side.

If you go to a dealer and put the color sample plates next to each other
it is very easy to see the difference.
Under direct sunlight the difference is not as noticeable as it is in the
shade or artificial light.
My GT4 is ordered in GT Silver.

I got lucky that my dealer had both a cayman in gt silver and a cayman in rhodium silver. They pulled them both out and parked them side by side in the direct sunlight and there is no comparison. The rhodium doesn't look bad by any means, but the GT silver looked amazing to me. Easy decision.
