All these are normal behavior and temperatures, it is the same with my GT4, 991 C4S etc.. Like stated before, these new cars tend to run a bit hotter than older ones but when driven hard the temperature drops, just the way it should be. No worries

Except those that want to self blip. They will be driving the car without pressing the sport button pressed, correct?

Very interesting.

I am pretty sure the water temp in my 991 C2S and Macan turbo stays pegged at 90*C all the time with the driving that I do. City and highway.

Fwiw in the 991, oil temp goes down and battery voltage goes up when you select sport or sport plus mode. Probably in anticipation of the car being driven hard. However, water temp stays the same.

FYI - the "displayed" water temperature is not the actual water temp. For whatever reason Porsche decided to only display a single number so long as the car is in the safe range. I can't recall what it was on my other 981s but 190 Fahrenheit sounds familiar. I never once saw the temp change.

Oil temp does change and noticed it would drop down when the when the 3rd radiator thermostat would open.

On open road my gauge stays on 104° C. and I have reached 118° C. on queue, these temperatures, in my opinion, seems too high and so I would like to know the temperatures noticed by other GT4 owners

Yes, the water temperature gauge stays in the same spot and does not indicate the real temperature in non-GT models, however in the GT4 it shows the real temperature of the water so it displays different temperatures. You don't have to be scientist to understand that ofcourse the water temperature changes at least slightly depending of the drive style..

Yes, my CS is pegged at 194degrees. Never goes beyond that. The reason Porsche does not give you the real temperature? So people won't get concerned and take their cars into the dealer to complain that it is running too hot. I guess with track use for the GT4 the real temperature becomes more critical.

Still no real downside. Push the Sport button (for auto-blipping) or leave it off. In the first case, the car might run a little cooler under cruise conditions, which is no big deal (other than a miniscule mileage reduction). In either case, once the cooling system starts being taxed, the thermostat will open as necessary.

In Sport the coolant system goes full loop to send water through all coolers, that's why you see the variance in the oil temp. The single oddest thing I see is that you somehow have coolant temps warmer than oil temps and if you are at operating temp, its thermally impossible for those numbers to be like that. Something seems fishy with your coolant temp reading or you have a bubble in your system. Once the car is up to temp, oil won't be cooler than coolant.

991 GT3 runs at 90c cruising and track only higher in traffic. Pretty sure you have a faulty thermostat like many of us GT3 owners. Porsche still having supplier issues here...

RE: Temp drop when Sport On, I had the same experience with my 981 Cayman GTS - which had the center radiator standard. This did not happen with my 981 Cayman S. So, I believe the Sport Button engaged full use of the center radiator cooling.

To be clear, I am referring to oil temperature. Water temp indicator always showed same 194 degrees Fahrenheit

Seeing around 182-183F (83C) during highway driving with the GT4. Hope that helps.

Hi all, Porsche has confirmed that high (102-105° C.) water temperatures are normal in GT cars while cruising and the temperature drops selecting sport button or when the engine is stressed
Tks everybody for the cooperation!

I did see the temperature climb to 219F (104C) when the sport setting was off.
