This looks as sketchy as f*ck, but here is a portion of my sales contract (with some personal items redacted military style...). Note - figures are in Australian pesos...

I call no BS on your BS call!
So you got a little bit less than 1% off. I saw on a German forum that some claim to have gotten a little better than that. Now we have to see what some claim for the US.
I heard that some over here in the US were charged for ED and others weren't. Does that qualify as a discount for those that didn't have to pay? The configurator shows ED as a $0 charge, but some dealers charged their customer anyway.

Never claimed that I got a significant discount. I got $1800 plus two cost options for free. As I said I didn't push hard as I wanted the sales person to go in and bat for my allocation. Again I said it may vary by market, but you clearly don't have to pay over recommended price (for the record I was around order number 70 when there were only 30 initial allocations in Australia).

That's Australia, we here in the US have way too much stupid money nowadays and then you couple that with greedy dealerships and that equals no discounts.

Sorry for the totally random reply, but your "Take My Money" user image is hilarious!!!
Well, I certainly don't feel like I have to prove jacksh@t to a trogan- I had negotiated 7 percent off on the not yet announced Caman R, and when I was underwhelmed and declined, I let the deposit ride. Negotiated a smaller discount on the GT4, but in this market it would probably be regarded as significant. Until it is on the autobahn, I'll be keeping the percentage to myself . Never bought a car from the dealer before.

That's what I'm trying to do with these damn Porsche dealers by buying a GT4 and an RS but every dealer that I've talked to has a waitlist longer than the list that I'm one at a midwest dealer no less (and I live in CA/NV). I haven't called all the US dealers but I've called over 2 dozen. Yeah, some have allocations but they want crazy numbers over MSRP ($20k-$50k over). I don't know where these dealers are that offer discounts to buyers who haven't been on a list for years and/or never bought a car from them.
Most of the people here saying they won't pay a cent over MSRP blah blah blah is only saying that because they aren't in OP's situation. Their opinions are worthless IMO. If those guys don't have an allocation, I am sure they would change their tune.
I guess the question is how much is the car worth to you, OP? The way I see it, I dont see any car that can perform the same level or better than the GT4 for under 100-130k (IE: prestine 997.2 GT3 & 991 GT3). So if it were me, I'd pay may be 10k over MSRP of $85k+. Another thing to consider is that I don't think Porshce is done giving out allocations yet. We haven't heard anyone with 2016 production dates. What I would do if i were you is call as many dealers as possible to get on the wait list and hope for the best. There will always be dealers selling allocations for $10-20k extra, so no sense in jumping on those deals yet.
Since the question has been asked I'll answer...I was willing to pay a little over MSRP ONLY IF I could get a GT4 with LWB seats. Well, I'll be buying a GT4 with LWB seats from a 918 owner for a small premium over MSRP. The car is speced fairly close to how I would have speced it and it is only of the colors that I would have picked. For me, I'm willing to pay that premium because I will get the car in the late summer and it'll have the seats that I want.

Baller Real Estate business must be doing really well. Send it to Sebring next fall.

Haha Both real estate and trade options have been very good so far this year so I figure I'd treat myself a bit. I'm #6 on my dealers list for a GT4 so chances are very low that I would get one new anyhow, let along with the LWB seats. When I told Trakcar he told me to bring it down to Sebring or better yet store it at his warehouse. I really do want to hit up Road Atlanta and VIR next year....maybe after COTA.
Nota thing, the whole point of a GT car that isn't have a car spec'd full out of luxury crap. Manual cars should be cheaper because real driving enthusiasts by them and they tend not to be the loaded type.
