And to be clear, the Dunlops in question are Sport Maxx RACE tires, not regular Sport Maxx. Major difference.

+1 I suspect this was a side deal with some "complexity" which is benefiting one or more parties that we don't have visibility to. The VIP program does not force taking allocations. So there is a reason why someone (the VIP, dealership, and/or both especially if they are the same individual) was willing to tie up $ for six months in order to have those cars sitting on the showroom floor and/or sold from that dealership at MSRP. In addition, it is two more GT car units sold to those VIPs out of that dealership. Multiple benefits across parties (PCNA regional rep, dealership, VIP and ultimate end customer at MSRP) other than tying up the cash for six months.

Dunlops are fine. Just as good as the MSPC2. Maybe even better.
Both are OEM tires on the 991 GT3. And both are perfectly fine, with only very slight variations in terms of wear.
