Default GT4 Updated Production Numbers

Do we have any info on updated production numbers for the GT4? It seems that Porsche is increasing production (or allocating more to North America than was originally anticipated). Will this be a rare car long-term (in North America)? I'm not buying one strictly for resale value, but it does weigh into the total cost of ownership.

Thanks

I have not heard anything specifically re production numbers. But I have heard it will be a two-year run. Unknown whether that will be all 2016 models made this year and next, or 2016 and 2017 models made this year and next. This came from a very reliable source.

They will make enough so everyone who wants one and can afford it will get one.
Unless of course you want PTS, LWB's, 18" wheels, etc.
Then next year, the PDK versions. . .

Heard this as well with the added note that LWB should be fully available by the second year....

And u know PAG will send more to PCNA if the dollar stays high. They would be stupid not to take advantage...

For that much money as a very profitable option, PAG will have them by the second year if they have to develop another supplier or make 'em themselves. That's what factories do, when necessary. No way PAG will allow a simple parts shortage to hold up many sales...

I was asking a few months back that if the later/last allocations of gt4s fell into 2017 model designation, would that mean they would have to have rear sensors/cameras as standard?

Automakers will be required to have compliant rearview systems in 10 percent of the vehicles they build from May 1, 2016, to May 1, 2017. That share rises to 40 percent for the next year and 100 percent starting on May 1, 2018.

I'd be wondering that for a bit, so thanks for clarifying the specifics.
