Default LWB delay!

I was told my August build car is delayed up to 10 weeks due to LWB seat delay!!!! Not happy!
My car was already later than I was hoping with a mid October delivery. I already had changed from Carrara White Metallic to regular White to avoid any delays. Now it looks like I will get it just in time to put it away for the winter!!!
And I sold my BGB 3.8 Cayman already so now I only have a Macan Turbo for fun, of which I am already bored with.
I guess these 1st world problems are harder than most people realize......

Anyone else told their car is delayed for LWB??

Apparently this is the news circulating in the last two weeks... LWB are in high demand!
You can't even order a set for the spyder now!

Not true... Not sure who is spreading this rumor. Allocations haven't even been distributed for NA.

Welcome to the party, OP. I think a lot of people's cars are being delayed for this. My July build was delayed 2 weeks at first, now it is delayed 8 week.

Well, at least we'll have nice cars to stare at in our garages this winter. You might as well get the color you want.

Same here. I had an October build with a December delivery date. Delivery is now in March. A long wait. The 993 will have to keep us entertained for this year.

Same here. My dealer got this:

Cayman GT4:
Existing orders:
-Current orders with option P11 will be delayed up to 10 weeks in production (not yet reflected in PVMS delivery date)
-If your customer chooses to delete P11 by end of day Monday, May 12th, potential delays may be avoided -- the factory will schedule the order as early as possible
New orders:
-P11 can no longer be added to June and July orders due to a global ordering stop
-The option is expected to be available for ordering again for August production

Funny. My dealer has received multiple spyder allocations. Tells me he got more spyder allocations than GT4 so far (2).

Judging by the avatars and sig's... we're not going to suffer too badly.

Get the car exactly how we spec it, just grin and bear it.

I find it odd that your dealer is the only NA dealer with Spyder allocations.

Who knows. Maybe they were told how many they were getting, but haven't received actual allocations. Wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. That would account for the discrepancy?

Yeah... More than likely. They should be coming soon.

8 week delay for buckets. July Build with late October delivery instead of late August.

Has anyone figured out how to use the folding GT2 bucket seats in the US spec 981? This could be an option if LWB not available.
