Hhhhmmm.... and that's why I read these forums! I had no thought of getting silver wheels, but after everyone chimed in about the virtues of silver, I may just consider silver wheels on Sapphire Blue. Let me go play with the configurator...

 

OK, nobody really knows what the purple really looks like but I'm pretty set on a all blacked out interior with silver stitching, Matte aluminum (Almost white looking?) wheels and uprights. Everyone else seems to go black accents to match all the black plastic trim.

Just got e-mail that pickup date changed from Sept 25 to October 16

 

I also prefer silver wheels on all colors except white.

My two favorite colors are carmine red and GT silver.

 

Crap, sorry to hear that!! I was getting nervous about mine and just asked - apparently still holding on by the skin of my teeth for Sept 24. Maybe the RS is under more constraints than GT4?

Thanks for your comments on my DBM/ Silver combo Peter! Since I posted that I haven't looked back to rethink it even once. I think I'll stick with this choice so nobody else can have it

I saw a pic of a purple gt4 in another thread here today, someone surmised it was a wrap but it looks very... purple. Shiny and purple. I am excited to see your RS in ANY color. The white/ silver was the best IMHO and I'd go this route if I were shopping that model brand new- Just awesome in white with that wing and I think platinum will look dated in quick time.

Wondering what purple will look like in the metal? When I was 9 yrs old Santa delivered my new bicycle that I had been dreaming about for months. Then it was mine, in all its purple glory! Found a picture of one exactly like it, enjoy!

Yes, its very purple. White looks great but all previous ones where white, never really liked the GTSilver and the orange is to pasty.

This RS is more like a Fiat or Lambo with the automatic and loud look, so might as well paint it a crazy color ;-)

RS is new Fiat. GT4 is the new GT3 :-)
If I fit in it with roll bar installed I will probably end up with one eventually.

 

Anyone got a real shot of GT Silver with silver wheels? Seems like the silvers would be off enough to contrast, in a much to matchy matchy type way...

 

The wheels are much brighter than GTSilver. Will be fine, no different than any other silver car?

 

Still yet to see any photos of a GT4 with silver wheels. Seems its not a popular option.

I saw the purple at the factory - looks just like the pictures in the bottom left of your post. That would be my choice.
